I'm not sure the point of the comparison, but I suppose I'm a dissenter in here in that for me Lock Stock>Snatch>Pulp Fiction.

Hmmm if Pulp Fiction was missing the date scene then it would be much closer... but Snatch is a better paced movie imo...But both are better than lock stock and both are two of my favorite movies... so deciding one of the other hurts me inside

Personally, I thought Snatch was alright, but I also thought it tried too hard and that it seemed like "forced" quirkiness in parts.

I found the movie alright.. but actually that was the main problem I had with it. I couldn't even understand most of the f'in dialogue in that movie. It was like watching a foreign film like Passion of the Christ or something. Time for subtitles! :lol

Actually he wasn't a gypsy, he was a pikey - (Irish traveller).

Gypsies are a similar subculture in that they travel around etc. but have a deeper heritage, culture and longer history, and are generally of central european descent, they are *very* rare in the UK these days.

The Irish travellers have copied some of their style of living though, and even through cross-pollination have taken up some of their old "tricks" with a modern slant, such as the "pig in a poke" - Once in the far past when meat was scarce gypsies would sell you a live pig, put it in a bag and then quickly make themselves scarce, once you opened the bag it would be common to find a Cat or a Rat, this is where the term "Buying a Pig in a Poke" comes from (A poke is a bag.) - It's also where the phrase "Let the cat out of the bag" referring to revealing a secret comes from. The modern take on this is for a group of travellers to stop by you in a car, and offer to sell you a digi-cam or similar for cheap because it's dodgy/stolen, after taking your money they'll then use sleight of hand to pass you a weighty bag and drive off quickly, once the bag is opened it'll usually contain a potato or two.

I watched LS the day after Snatch, so it felt too samey to like. Pulp > Snatch > LS here.

Snatch = Pulp Fiction. Sorry, it's true. As much of a Tarrantino whore as I may be, there is no denying the greatness of Snatch. Guy Ritchie simply did a good job, and it was better than the already great Lock, Stock. PEACE.

yeah Kill Bill was sure a winner... I love QT... but to deny the greatness and the infunence of a flimmaker outside of hollywood is insane...batshit insane...
