I would highly recommend getting some good pictures and getting a legit check on r/repsneakers. Human Race reps are pretty good, and I doubt your friend is trying to scam you, but someone may have scammed him.

I grabbed the black. Really comfy upper but the midsole feels a bit stiff, especially in the heel, when compared to a BOOST midsole.
I'm thinking they'll be a bit more comfy after breaking them in. They're a bit expensive right now, really. I'd wait to grab them on sale if you can.
Do you think they would work like a UB for casual wear and gym (including some running)? I'm thinking on getting them as a secondary UB pair. Really dig the look.

Casual shoes? Absolutely. Gym shoe for running? Definitely not. As someone who runs, I can't recommend a casual athleisure shoe for actual running. I also can't recommend recommend it because of the stiff heel (as per my earlier post) and at its current astronomical price. (I paid $210 CAD + tax for mine... but I'm a diehard for ASICS)
Please treat your feet, shins, knees, and back right and get a proper pair of running shoes at a proper price.
Go to a place that has sales staff trained in analyzing what shoe is right for you based on your gait and running form.wesleyshark

I usually run with my UB. They do the work, nothing hurts on my feet after my workout, but I only run 30 minutes and it's not everyday.
I should definitely take your advise, though. Never did one of those tests.
UB are probably better than the Kayanos since UBs are more cushioned, sure.

I second having a professional check you out for getting fitted with proper running shoes. Not saying that you can't run in UBs, but as a runner, I find that running in UBs kinda sucks as it's too cushioned so it feels like I'm running in mush, which was the same issue I had with running in Nike Lunar1s. I now run in LunarEpics, which do have all the Lunarlon but it's the lightness and firmness of the foam that gives me some form of responsiveness that lacks in my UBs.
Standing and walking in my UBs is aces though.

Just picked up the EQT white mountaineering for FallingEdge, these shoes are NICE as hell. Tried them on in another size and the boost feels amazing.
