Yeeesh! I ordered on the 25th as well, and it says it's supposed to arrive by Thurs, Oct 5th. But it's still in "Preparing Order" status.
Well whaddya know, I get back from lunch and the status changed to "Shipped" with a FedEx tracking number. Let's see if it makes the Oct 5th delivery date.

Mine finally arrived, it's two days late but eh I got £10 credit from Amazon as result so I am cool.

I messed about with Donkey Kong Country first, which seems fitting as that was the game that made me wanted to own a SNES but I was like 7 and too stupid to know what the system and game was called.

I then tried out Star Fox, very jarring since I played Star Fox 64 first but I can see how it was ground breaking at the time though I was really impressed when I booted it up.

To finish off I played Super Mario World, really fun game and I would have probably liked it when I was younger.

Anyway I plan to homebrew the system to add more games like Donkey Kong 2 and 3, though I have no idea how to go about doing that.

So I never *really* played Super Mario World... I mean, of course, like anybody who was old enough at the time I played around a bit in a couple of levels but I never got far or serious about it.

I tried it last night and man do I sucks at 2D Mario games Haha. I had no problems finishing both Galaxy games and 3D World but I can't do a simple precise jump to save my life in the early SMW levels lol.

I guess I need more practice.

One last F5 of my order before leaving work for the day. I am still in the darkest timeline.

Does the japanese version (Super Famicom) have support for English menus? Currently in Japan and saw an ad for it. A little tempted to buy.

what menus would there be that you can't just fumble your way through (three filters, creating a save state). the games are obviously all JP versions.

Well that was a slog and a half, but I wanted to see if I could do it.

I find mario world to be the most sensitive to input lag of the mario games, it has both more internal lag and less inertia to smooth things over, so it may not just be your skills

I usually get all my packages sent through Amazon Prime. Watching my package with free shipping from Target slowly make its way from Arizona to Texas on what I assume is a twelve year old's bike is torture.

Have two orders with Walmart and the 8/25 sure enough shipped While the 8/22 is still processing. Both were charged. Why are they doing this out of order and the 8/22 order still says arriving 9/5. The one that shipped Friday Tracks for an 9/6 arrival.

Oh...oh my god...

Walmart 8/25 has changed from "Preparing Order" to "Shipped". Thank you baby Jesus.

For all of you still waiting, don't give up hope, don't stop believing!

Mines been "shipped" since Saturday morning. According to the tracking number, it is still in route from Walmart to the FedEx facility...

My 8/25 Walmart order just shipped! No email and not seeing the charge yet, but changed from "preparing order" to shipped with a FedEx tracking # in the last hour or so.

Refuse to believe it until I'm holding it

Got my 2nd one today.

waiting on my uk which will come next week or in 2 weeks.......

My damn famicom mini came the next day or the day off (time difference) same as my nes mini

Just tried Super Ghouls and Ghosts for the first time in 25 years, barely played it on OG SNES day one and it took me a few mins to work out the guy can double jump. I could not understand how to clear the first coffin lmao. Wow simple jump mechanics back then..who knew

All these 8/25 orders shipping are infuriating :)

Seriously, congrats.

Dude, I know that feel. Expedited shipping my ass. My Walmart order shipped out late Thursday night. Tracking went nowhere over the weekend. Finally moved this morning and I find out it skipped over my state entirely and now it's delayed two more days. Won't be here until Thursday now, supposedly.

I'm just so used to 2-day shipping and then having that show up a day early anyway.

Condolences for those still waiting for theirs to ship.

All you Walmart 8/25 people are giving me hope :(

edit: Mine says shipped, but expected delivery of last Friday???

Hmmn, when it's in my hands I'll believe, until then...

Holy shit, my Walmart 8/25 package actually shipped! It's coming on Tuesday!

Mine's expected Wednesday. I'm fine with that.

I'm very happy to be wrong. I was utterly convinced that they shipped every available unit by the end of the day Friday. Really surprised a bunch of us are getting shipments out today.

I just played mine for the first time, and OMG this thing is amazing!!! All those games for £69!!

And that beautiful beautiful controller. It's sooooo comfortable. I don't know why Nintendo don't release all their consoles with that dpad. Much better than the Wii U one.

BTW why do these games seem more fun now for me than VC or emulation? I reckon the games were made with this controller in mind.

I feel like I am 14 again.
