They're just numbered differently because the Japanese FF's 2, 3, and 5 didn't come out in the west back in the day. It's Japanese FF6 translated into English as FF3.
 
I finally hooked mine up, it's beautiful! I legitimately went "whoa!" when the menu showed up... So colorful.

Don't have a TV currently and have it hooked to a PC monitor. Was hoping power would work through one of the USB ports on the monitor but it didn't... Oh I think I need to connect the monitor to the PC via USB first to power the built-in hub, but that would mean I need to keep the PC on... I better find a spare charger
 
I played through the first StarFox last night. It’s over 20 years since I played it last, and it weird how all the enemy locations and movements came flooding back. The game must be baked into my brain after playing it to death when I was 13.
I stuffed it up a bit but still got 97% average score. Looking forward to starfox 2 now.
 
Got mine today. So cute!

Im looking forward to beat for the first time on this machine: Earthbound, FFVI, Super Mario RPG, Secret of Mana and Yoshi’s Island.

When you get a chance, hook it up to a large TV, and prepare to be amaze. I played Super Mario World on a 48 incher for 7 hours yesterday. It was loads of fun with a dash of controller throwing frustration.
 
Haha, Sorry guys. There's no divorce/Cheating OT so I had to put it somewhere. Won't happen again.

The affair is definitely worse. But maybe I'll get this snes mini at least? Best of luck to all those hoping for one.

Wow my 8/25 Walmart order has shipped, though the FedEx tracking number doesn't list anything yet. I'm not getting my hopes up until it's actually in my hand, especially after the CS person I talked to said I was backordered.
 
I haven't been online much in the last week or so.

I see lots of comments about the Walmart orders...

I have one from 8/25 ... these had a problem? It still only shows Preparing Order, delivery for Oct.4, which I doubt would happen.

Please someone help.

It seems that 8/25 orders are more likely to ship than 8/22 orders, but it is nowhere near a guarantee.

US version here, I stared in disbelief at the exquisite miniaturization of arguably the ugliest and most unnecessary regional redesign ever. I LOVED the Super Famicom design and HATED the Purple atrocity,

My first (actual SNES) was a Japanese import, then a Euro version.

The original western NES redesign was actually quite cool at the time, but the US SNES was ugly when it first arrived.
 
I got my order in on August 25th at Walmart, it shipped on Saturday and will arrive tomorrow. It's already in my town, and they've yet to charge me again. What's up with that?
 
Hey all, might have missed this but I want to ask,
I got a hori pad on order but when i went to get my snes I saw my spot had some in stock...so I hit up the net looking for reviews and they were mixed at best, has anyone actully picked one up and been using it? Just looking for some other opinions of people who have it so I can make a better judgement on keeping my order : )

Reset the unit and press X on the save state. Will start you at where the rewind starts at, about a minute before resetting. When you select where to startt at you go right back to the game.

Don't change the box art, it is FFIII.

And people did think about versions of some games. Shinobi on the Genesis is a pretty well known one since the original release had Batman, Spiderman and some other copywrite breaking things in it, but was removed for the later releases. Back in the early 90s we were looking for the game that had that, but didn't have a way to figure out why it wasn't available in the cart we had.

What’s been the general answer for people who ordered on 08/25 and haven’t had a shipping notification? Mine is set to arrive tomorrow, but is still Processing.

There is no "general answer." It's shipping for some people, and not shipping for others. No real rhyme or reason. I also have an 8/25 order with a 10/3 expected delivery date that has not shipped yet.

The entire history is really strange.

I really dislike the USPS. This crap always seems to happen whenever stuff gets shipped through them. There are two other USPS offices in two other towns that have handled my packages before and this isn't one of them. Even if it gets set to my house it's still dicey if it will ever arrive because the USPS has a really, really back track record here.

It has support for the CX4, at least. Just have to specify in the footer of the ROM that it uses it, and it boots.

(Hakchi will automatically do this when it's out)

Well went today with my email reservation (waiting for the worst) and I got it, the page for snes mini reservations was massive btw, and seems we were all getting it of we payed 10 euros that day.

Tested it a little on my tv. It looks wonderful (that VB backdrop with scanlines is love) and super happy that the controllers feel just like the real ones (thought they were going to be smaller).
Beat some star fox stages, then played star fox 2 on hard and died after I cleaned titania.

Great news but a very strange situation to have them in there, makes me wonder if any other obscure chips are supported too seeing as most if not all of the main ones are already supported.

They're actually the same footer ID for the chips as the Wii U Virtual Console, so it looks like that was the base here.

Walmart 8/25 has changed from "Preparing Order" to "Shipped". Thank you baby Jesus.

Does that mean that all possible supported chipsets are in there then? Glad that all the games i love are either already supported or don't contain really obscure one off chips. Need to get my Goemon games added.
