I think I read that they already dumped 200mil into it. Add that to the 90 mil that they just pissed away with Batgirl, they probably can't take that big of a hit. Reshoots would probably put it way out of profitability range too, considering he's the main character.

Maybe the execs thinks the Flash movie will be done and forgotten before anything real comes out and that people that would watch don't care.

That has nothing to do with it. MIller was originally cast as the Flash somewhere around 2016. They didn't publicly change their pronouns to They/Them until 2018. This has everything to do with the 250+ million they have invested into the project. Short of Ezra committing a felony they are not cancelling that film. Gina Carano was replaced because what she did was wrong, but she was also replaceable. She was not the frontline star of a major release with hundreds of millions invested into it. If Ezra was just a nothing side character like she was and still did all the things they have done so far they would be kicked out the back door just the same.
Money is money and there is nothing that studios love more than money. That is what makes the real decisions and 250+ million is not a pill they are going to swallow unless they literally have no other choice.

There is literally video of him choking a woman (a video that some people seem to only find offensive because the dude recording calls Ezra 'bro' as he goes to pull him off the poor woman). He's been arrested multiple times for assault and harassment. He's had temporary restraining orders granted against him.

They could spin stuff like this in any direction. How do you depict a movie cast for cosplay? Some folks would dog ANY white person cosplaying ANY black character no matter how they did it. I think it falls more on how that guy acts as to whether or not the "blackface" accusation makes sense. He isn't actually in the historic blackface and he's not, in that photo at least, depicting a negative stereotype (any more than Chris did with his own performance in TFE). Now if he walks around with his pants down low, saying "yo dog, what up my n-words!" or whatnot, well, fire away. But if he stays in character or just acts like a normal person then I don't see why anyone would complain. It would seem WORSE (to me) if they had everyone BUT Rod and excluded the character just becuase they didn't have the appropriate minority in their group (or had a hispanic, asian, middle eastern...etc human play him 'cause it was "close enough").
