Everything is bad about it. It's like watching a high school drama with even cheaper cardboard props. Cameramen must have been guys who all worked in some local A/V club and were amazed as this was the first and only time they got to shoot in 16mm. Sound guy seems like he may have been the type to work on Soap Opera's where his work is not even processed through ADR. It's like he's intentionally trying to back sound off on our protag (which I can't blame him). The only way I see this as good is if you're studying traditional cinematography and you want to learn "what not to do." I'm sure this film is famous for that reason alone...the fact that film schools have been studying it for the past 30-some odd years, now.

I've seen this movie so many times, both regular style and the Rifftrax version, but it never gets old. My favorite parts are the off-the-shelf wig and the "Black gift" line.

I think they're both fun to watch. Cage is more like watching a mad man and Keanu more like little puppies.

I love the movie, but Star Wars: A New Hope had a lot of ropey dialogue as Alec Guinness put it. Especially delivered by a young Mark Hamill.

I've tried to watch Mandy several times. I can even understand the appeal but it's just not my bag. Cage remind me of Leo, you kind of just get their personas no matter what movie they are in. Not a lot of range to be found. I would love to see QT work with Cage though.
