Yeah Drake is popular, but he's had haters and memes for years. Meek just wasn't equipped to do anything. Like Joe Budden said, Drake is way too calculated for someone like Meek.
Someone more in tune with this shit could have maybe dropped something that really went in on Drake tbh. And I say that as a Drake fan.
T.I is reckless and his friend probably is too. Was Drake there by himself? Did he have is own crew? If he was there by his self then he did the right thing...

This has been really lame so far. There were maybe 2-3 good lines across all 3 "diss" tracks so far. People must be really thirsty for beef for this to reach the level of attention it has. The memes and social media responses have been more hard hitting than the actual tracks.

Lyrically? Sure. But would that mean anything? Drake is a huge brand that appeals to a wide demographic. If someone is coming at Drake and not at that level, they're not going to get taken seriously outside of a small subset of the public that listens to hip hop and pays attention to these things and takes them seriously.
Dating Nicki Minaj and this feud are the only reasons most people know Meek Mill is a thing that exists. He was never going to get taken seriously.
Lets be honest - people love the king go down or fall...but if yo go for it you gotta come hard or you look like a fool. Meeks claim and the reason for the beef from the beginning were weak - so while it looked back many expected it to be just a small part of a bigger scheme....expecting him to have some real sick lines/ztacks directed to Drake already recorded and just baiting him.

He had good first week sales, he's dating and touring with one of the biggest artists in pop music; he had a huge platform. Let me put it another way: my wife and all her coworkers are laughing and sharing pictures and quotes about Meek Mill getting destroyed by Drake. They know Meek Mill exists because he dates Nicki Minaj, from that song that also has Drake on it, or from insulting Drake on Twitter sometime last week.
They know Drake exists because they love Drake and his music and his SNL appearances and everything else about him.
There's a lot more people like that than there are people on this thread, and that's where the popular opinion was going to come from.
Sure, Meek could have made something better than the absolute dogshit we got, and maybe got some people laughing at Drake instead of the one sided pounding we've witnessed, but Drake's been getting laughed at for years and it's not meant a damn thing and it wouldn't have meant a damn thing.
