Anything not Kendrick Lamar is subpar don't you know?

Who referenced kendrick? Because I know I didn't

Back to Back ain't subpar lol stahp.

Guess we just have different tastes in diss tracks

Motive doesn't matter to the outcome of the beef. If everyone clowned on Drake and The Blue Jays were playing Wanna Know with people singing along then it would be Drake who got slaughtered. The audience decides who wins.

The audience sides with who's most popular. Once higher ups who probably don't even listen to rap sided with drake the sheep followed.

Drake uses Ghostwriters. Does that mean they write everything he spits? Hell no.

Kanye uses ghost writers and he has some of the greatest hip hop albums ever. Members of slaughterhouse have admitted to writing for Em. Biggie Ghostwrote for Jay Z (cause Jay just blatantly steals has shit). I could go on. Oh and go watch Straight Outta Compton and see how much ghost writing was happening with some of hip hops legends/founding fathers.

Get the fuck over it. Tell me Dre and Eazy E aren't hip hop cause they used ghost writers. That's when someone losing credibility to me.

Is that the reason why 50 destroyed Ja Rule? Because he was more popular? The reason why TIP ended whoever that dude out of Texas was? No. They got bodied because they got out rapped.

Now maybe you didn't like back to back but it was for fucking sure better than that wanna know bullshit Meek dropped. Take OVOfest into account and the whole thing is even worse. Meek was slaughtered. End of. Doesn't matter how you win as long as you're the man standing in the end.

The thing is Drake spends a lot of time talking about how he did everything himself, shunning fakes and the fraudulent and proclaiming his individual greatness. At the very least he wants people to be under the impression that he writes his own stuff and him firing off at Meek instead of just deading the situation by explaining his process is telling. He still wants people to believe that the claims aren't true despite evidence to the contrary. It's so silly. If he's about the music just say fuck it and admit it and strip the power away, his fans are gonna ride for him regardless.

I don't give a fuck about Meek one way or the other and the fact that real hip hop is riding on one the most boring redundant rappers out right now is sad as hell.

50 was out the gate making diss tracks gaining popularity in the beef (Mind you they were obviously better than ja rule)

TIP beefing with a guy whose name you can't remember? That basically proved my point. His name was lil flip.

Also I know it was better than meeks diss I already acknowledged that.

Don't remember his name because TIP made him irrelevant. He was getting heavy air play with that sunshine single when their beef really picked up. Then TIP dropped 99 problems but lil flip ain't 1 and ended it.

Basically what I'm saying is the public always sides with whoever comes better on wax. Always has and always will. Meek should've come correct if he was gonna go after someone as popular as Drake. He wasn't prepared and didn't realize what he was getting himself into.

I agree with this. Meek's timing was terrible and late. Had Meek thrown shots and dropped a diss track first I think maybe it would have been a different outcome. He took a massive L for this.

I agree. The dude is a transparent phony who speaks out of both sides of his mouth constantly. Half the industry has had a problem with him for that reason. He fucked Waynes girl while Weezy was locked up: that should tell you the kind of character he has....or lacks.
But he played this round of beef smart. He made his main diss track a reasonably well crafted SONG as opposed to Meek who not only took too long to put out a diss, his actual diss track wasnt even a song.

Yea...no he had 2 diss tracks which both were subpar. He just had the less subpar diss. Slaughtered is pretty much hyperbole.

If you get shot twice with a Nerf gun and fall to the ground in a bloody mess, the fact that you got shot with Nerf doesn't change the fact that you were slaughtered.

In fact, it just makes you look worse.

Siding with who is popular doesn't explain Ether.

And seriously twitter, instagram, vine, and YouTube rendered judgement on this way before any 'higher ups' got involved.

Yup. Meek's response track was getting INSTANT negative feedback from random people once it was released. Nobody needed White Castle or CocaCola to tell them that song was garbage. People are really reaching with this conspiracy shit just because they are in denial that Drake won a rap beef against a "real" rapper.

It's embarrassing.

Especially since the "real" rapper in this case is the guy who is currently on tour with Nicki Minaj performing in front of a bunch of 15 year old girls. There's your savior, guys.
And formerly was posting pithy memes on Twitter and Instagram before Drake shut his Twitter account down with a line.

So basically like every other rapper.

I feel like people just hate Drake because he's Drake and that's a thing the internet made.

I'm still amazed Drake legit banished Meek from Twitter. Straight up hit him with that Yu-Gi-Oh shadow realm shit.

Like, he gone.

He ain't hit post on that mofo since. He on that IG because he's a teenage girl and needs his social media fix, but not on twitter. Nah, can't go on there anymore. Drake said no.

Yup. Basically "Drake is a phony and a fraud, so lets ride for the guy who works for Rick Ross"

God damn that sentence is hilarious.

And I could use a writer just to balance out my flows
But I never share my thoughts, this is all a nigga knows
And every time I try, it opens up my eyes
These verses are a chance to be remembered and reprised
And I would be performing this as long as I’m alive
So every word I utter will be mine.

Liar. Fraud. All that.

But hey 70% of the "new school" rappers in the same boat.
