I believe you mean two retarded kids.
No, just an elitist Nintendo fanboy one. Much better.
Let's see, I mentioned Xbox, PSX, Saturn. Wow, that makes me quite the Nintendo fan. Fucking idiot.

::Points to scoreboard::

What's that .. what!? DS leading by a million? What!? DS up in the US, Europe, and Japan? What!?

:lol

I love people who root for PSP or DS ... you always have something to say to each of them. You can say DS sucks, but you can say its kicking the PSP's ass in sales. Greatness. :D

DS hate at it's best... gotta love it

So for someone like me who's considering buying a DS for Castlevania shouldn't get one because it's inferior to the PSP? (Love my PSP BTW)

When the "mystery hacker "was busy deleting people's accounts a week ago, you were busy feeding him names, links, and suggestions for who should be next on his hitlist. If that's not the epitome of douchebag fanboy wankery, then I'll eat my hat. (NOTE: I don't have a hat.)

I have no problem with this. In fact, I have no problems going from Xbox games to PSX/Saturn games (the ugliest of ugly in terms of 3d). I play old games, alongside new games, all the time. Then again I am not an elitist attention whoring prick.

Yeah I'm playing Chrono Trigger on my PS2 and will start Phantom Brave today. Might also get God of War. I don't have a problem with 'going back' to lower graphics after playing games with superior graphics. I play GBA games on a GB Player now instead of my SP.

I was under the impression it was a last April fool's joke (as mentioned in my first post about the whole issue). I thougt I'd feed the joke, I had no idea it was actually someone 'hacking' the board.

The two people I names, CrimsonSkies and Serafitia had nothing to do with console bias. Both were part of old jokes. If you had to find a connection, they both involved AlphaSnake.

The Shadow, you serious? I'll let you have it for $100, SM64 DS included. It's kinda scratched up on top, though.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA! I'd never buy that worthless retarded POS system even if it was new!

*please don't ban me. :(

Sure. Lookin' for PSP Ridge Racers, Timesplitters 3 Xbox, and/or Mercenaries Xbox. I'll trade for any two of the above.

Damn I plan on keeping my RR (Just got it and haven't played it much thanks to MGA) and don't have Timesplitters 3 nor Mercenaries for XBox :(

I'd offer a trade but I've pawned off everything of value! ALEX OWNED. I should probably head over to the trade topic to see if I can get anything for Ape Escape, MGA or Lumines though, as I'm thrown out of the PSP club.

Drinky would be ripping you off with that trade. Ridge Racers alone is twice as much fun as the entire DS library.

Haha, I know, most of it is me just bitching the PSP is good stuff. But I really need to pad my PS2 library up, and I'm broke, as per usual.

"Hey! There's that broke guy" they say in the streets, yet I can never seem to throw the rocks far enough.

Well, at least broke in the context of how ridiculously saturated with fun this damn hobby has become.

Are you serious? I never heard this complaint before.

The touch screen could definitely be more sensitive. You don't notice it in games like Mario 64, of course, since the stylus hardly ever leaves the screen. But in games where you have to frequently tap and drag, like Meteos, the problem is noticeable.

My other problem with the touch screen, on the technical side of things, is that it has a visible grid layer that makes it look less sharp than the upper screen.

Yeah, I'm used to gentle stylus motions on my Pocket PC. I was surprised how hard -- relatively -- that I had to press on the DS screen. I noticed the visible grid pattern, too, but since I only own Mario 64 it hasn't been a problem.

I haven't played Meteos but I've had no complaints of any kind with the touch screen. It looks a little darker than the other screen in certain light, but all in all I find it very responsive and accurate.

I hadn't heard complaints about the touch screen before either.

There again, I haven't been in many threads resulting from people going out and deliberately buying something they hate either.

Don't even talk about cheap and not mention the PSP. That thing is about as cheap as it comes! I have only had mine for a week and it hardly goes anywhere and it has nicks and scratches on it (save for the screen) People woundered how the thing was so inexpensive, I'll tell you how, by cheap ass material and crappy build quality!

The DS is MUCH more sturdy and feels like strong compared to the chincy "glasscase" PSP. I won't even bring up the GIANT file sizes that movies end up being using Sony's software, or horrible artifacts present when gettinng the size down (in comparison to a pda wmv file!)
If microsoft ever gets into the handhelds its all over for sony and nintendo!

Anfd play Wario touched then come back and talk, you can freaking BLOW on the screen in one of the mini games, more sensative my ass!!!!

I don't think putting in high-quality ANYTHING, least of all the touch screen, was on Nintendo's list of profit-maximizing requirements. Anything better and they might've been mistaken for Sony -- TEH NOOOOOO!

oh ok, thats cool ,but sony wasn't thinking of quality anything either. atleast their isnt dust in 1/3 of the ds's screens!

Jr., thats the microphone picking up the blowing. You were joking right?
edit: never mind

Your PSP rant needed more venom and humor. You need to endear yourself to your less articulate brethren and totally piss off your enemies a little more. Other than that, good show old bean!

You'd have to be really big into the anti-toothpaste gig to be able to control the DS's screen with just your breath.

Honestly I haven't played Wario Touched, my brother told me about it. On the PSP, I have one and Ridge Racer and my budy has been doing a lot of video encoding with it. I like them both and think they are both worth their money, but unbridaled hate towards either is just fucking stupid! It makes no sense to bash either one. If you dont like it don't fucking play it, but your opinion isn't going to change the fact that some people like to play with the DS and can't afford the PSP! While others can afford the PSP and like it.

According to a FAQ at GameFAQs, there are actually two slightly different touch screens in units out there. I don't remembre what they called the other type, but I've got a grid one too. Slight differences in look, sensitivy, and speed (of reaction to touch) apparently.

Testing now in Pictochat I barely have to apply any pressure with my grid unit to begin drawing. A "Wal-Mart"ed unit is a whole other story, though.

he informed me that I might consider Zookeeper which had just dropped in price to $30 -- not bad for a game you can find for FREE on most Flash-gaming web sites in a marginally less portable form.
Of course, if we're ignoring the portability factor, the PSP would become completely superfluous.

Drinky Crow said:
And how the hell to they expect me to use a stylus when playing Castlevania. Do I take my right hand off the jump/sword button and grope about for my stylus, then cast it aside whenever the unnecessary little touch task is done with?
For most minor uses your finger should work well as long as you're not an XTREME nail-biter. Of course, with your current borked unit that might not be the case.

I agree with Drinky It's bulky and ill designed. If only Nintendo would have released GBA SP EX 360 (or whatever) that has the DS' nice backlight screen I'd buy it in a second! I haven't played my DS since i got my PSP. Thinking about getting Minish Cap for my DS though I' m sure it would look real nice on the DS screen.

I guess I just disagree on all these "bulky" and "poorly designed" comments. For essentially the same volume as the PSP they double the face room and have built in screen protection by way of a flip design. So the system shell is more likely to scratch than reflect a smudge. Boo? Non-touch analog control is certainly missed, though.

I agree, that screen for the SP would have been damned nice. :(

drinky just a DS hater? or a nintendo hatah
Drinky actually likes certain things about Nintendo a lot. What he doesn't like is how "minority party" Nintendo has increasingly differentiated themselves over the last decade. If they started losing money on more expensive systems and dropped anything remotely resembling bongos, touch screens, microphones, or motion control he'd be a happy man.

Well, there were reports a month or so back about a new Game Boy showing up at E3, and some of the speculation from that has been that it could be a new model GBA. Perhaps smaller, with a DS-like screen, perhaps something like the Play-Yan built in. We shall see.

I bid $39.95! :D

Actually, if I wasn't a little cash-strapped, I'd make a serious offer... my wife tried WarioWare at a kiosk and thought it was awesome. I have no idea what I'd get for it otherwise, though...
