So how bad is the Switch stock situation?

I go by my local Walmart a couple of times a week to pick up some groceries, and look at stuff I can't afford like video games, I have only seen it in stock once since launch.

I stared at it with sad eyes for a few minutes before moving on.

Thanks for heads up on Best Buy. Grabbed myself a neon, there were two more neons and 4 greys on display. Also saw a neon in what I presume is their pickup area.

Did you ask?

A lot of times they might hold stock in the back.

Yes. Even had a family member visit a different Target in the cities where iStock said they had a few. The sales associate said they only had one this morning and it sold within five minutes of the doors opening... Mentioned trying another store a little ways away and the associate guaranteed they would not have any either; she said they had not gotten any shipments in a long time.

No issues here in the U.K. Certain outlets even offering discounts.

Where? I legitimately can't find any in the UK unless I want to wait weeks.

Add another to the list of people able to get from Best Buy yesterday (Best Buy in NoHo Manhattan). They seemed to get a good amount of stock in, saw probably 4 or 5 on display around Noon and they had more in the back which is where they were keeping the Neon ones. So happy to finally get one, picked up a pro controller as well as mario kart and zelda.

UGH UGH UGH

Went to my gamestop asked about the yellow joy con pre order they werent taking it.

Went to pre order online and.........
79.99 +like 6 bucks tax and like 8 shipping comes out to like 90 something dollars for a fucking JOY CON

Any hot leads on consoles available online in the US?

My brother is going to the USA and I was hoping he could buy me one there since it's like 200 dollars cheaper.

Walked into a bestbuy on 44th and 5th in midtown manhattan NYC to get an ipad as a gift. Whike paying I asked if they had any Switch's in stock. They said yep, and now I'm setting it up. They seemed confident in their stock if anyone in NYC is still trying to get one.

Target on Austell Rd in Marietta, GA had 4 neon Switches in the case. Just outside of Atlanta.

I'm here for work from Florida and have never seen this many.

The stock situation will not get better anytime soon...

... and looking at the announcements that were made (Pokémon in particular), I now understand why Nintendo is doubling the production rate. Sales will be strong well into 2018.

I've had the weirdest Nintendo E3 day. Ups and downs and just all over the place, complete roller coaster. Amazing conference, the return of Metroid Prime, lots of promising titles...

...then shortly after I'm hearing we might not get XX localized if rumors are true. Potentially a huuuge let down to me....

Later I go out to Wal-Mart though and holy shit!!! 2 Switches in the display cabinet! I know how hard they are to come by so I grabbed the one with grey Joycons. Jazzed to finally lay my hands on the box! I hope others may have similar luck.

Not sure how many people this will catch but neon systems available at the Target in Cherry Hill, NJ. Also had Pro Controllers but no joycons of any color.

Seriously.

ARMS, Splatoon 2, Pokken Tournament DX, Mario x Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, and Super Mario Odyssey.

If that's not already enough, you have all the hype generated from the confirmation that a core Pokemon game is in development for the Switch, along with Metroid Prime 4 (still can't believe this!).

Finally re-bought one for the good price of AU$382 (US$290), tax included. Almost a AU$100 cheaper than retail price. For that $100 extra I can get me a pro controller now.

Now I'm satisfied :D

I'm trying to find one around Dallas, TX. So far no luck. I was hot on the trail of some inventory at Best Buy, but it looks like it sold out. Dangit Nintendo!

I had a doctor appointment in the Chicago area and had a couple of hours to kill. I followed brickseek and similar tracking around to no avail. Did see one go on sale south side of Chicago and within 20 minutes no longer get be there. Was the only one I felt like was an actual Switch.

Damn E3 hype. As long as I snag one before Splatoon.

Is Nintendo even selling the double red and double blue joy-con pairs anymore? I feel really dumb for returning my double red pair instead of sending it for repair to Nintendo. I have not seen them in stock at any physical retail shop since launch. My local GameStop said they have only received one double blue pair since launch. Most stores I go into don't even have the label for it anymore since I assume they never get any. I originally got my red pair around the time Mario Kart released online at Target, but nothing since then. Heck I can't even find the listing for the red pair on their website anymore.

Were these supposed to be limited or something? Nintendo is going to replace the red and blue pairs with yellow and pink/green aren't they? =p blah. I kinda want to make a thread about this..I'd really hate it if Nintendo stopped making these joy-con pairs low key.

Stock issues after 3 months still? That sucks. Switch sales would be much higher if the damn thing was readily available.

I'm in pretty close proximity to Nintendo NY. Are they still getting stock daily? Is it fairly easy to walk in and pick one up? Feel like it would make a nice gift for my brother.

Three months later and I'm ready to jump on board and of course these idiots still have hardware shortages. Do they ever fucking learn?

I'm coming around to actually wanting a Switch, and it would be nice to get myself one as a birthday present sometime in the next 2 weeks. I aint about that driving around to all the local stores trying to find one life, though. I guess I need to luck into happening upon a fresh restock at amazon or something.

You could call?

Anything reliable as an inventory checker? Calling every walmart or best buy near me every week is not appealing. Especially since I'm in Orlando on business this month. Was there a big shipment this week/last week and it's back to "No idea" in terms of restock?

It's not that hard. Use istocknow for Target/GameStop/Walmart. Best buy you're on your own but when I call my store, I'm connected to a call center who is happy to check all of the stores in the state for an item I'm looking for.

Check the buy/sell/trade thread. Several in there at various conditions and prices.

All the major retailers in the US should have stock today that shipped with Arms. I saw 10 at target this morning. 4 were yellow joycon version.

What's the model number , also will Amazon have one?
Also, why is Nintendo scalping people in Amazon by selling switches over $450?

I wish amazon would stay classy and not allow scalpers , especially those who have prime :(

Because there totally isn't a shortage of NAND chips right now

NAND Flash shortage

NAND chips are in high demand and Nintendo is effectively competing with every other company that uses them. Nintendo has upped their production numbers twice now, but it's still impossible to make something if they physically can't get the required chips.

Gamestop has grey bundles in stock.

Anyone order online form them before? No problems I assume?

I ordered one from there yesterday and now I'm waiting. The shipping prices are indeed dumb but I couldn't physically go there so.... no choice.
