So I have an ingrown toenail. Should I take care of it myself or go to a doctor?

if you keep doing it wrong, the problem will come back.

Why did no one show me this picture 20 years ago?
I found out from NeoGAF that I have been shaving wrong for the past 15 years (against the grain), and now you guys are telling me I'm clipping my nails wrong too.
FUCK.

Ingrown toenail surgery sucks. Not because of the surgery, but because of the needles they shove in your toe beforehand to numb it. Worst pain I ever felt, and I say that having broken my leg and back at different times.

YMMV. It was uncomfortable, but I can't say it was painful to me. I've had worse booster shots.

Pray you went in before the painkiller won't have any effect. I made that mistake when I was younger, and had to feel every awesome moment as the doctor sliced away at my toenail and yanked it out with a pliers.

No surgery in the books yet ._. guess my Toe wasn't 'tender' enough or enough pain to warrant a surgery. Just antibiotics I have to take 4 times a day. Gonna be going back in Thursday morning for a re-check up.
