Check the spoiler from the original thread lolI got the 48 inch LG C1 to use as my PC monitor. I mounted it on a VESA floor stand so it lines up right at the back edge of my desk, it’s glorious.
Now now, something can be wrong with them as well.I switch between both a lot. But if you're uncomfortable at a desk then something's wrong with your setup
Playing single player games (like God of war, silent hill) in that position is so ridiculous. When I've bought 27 1440p monitor, it was literally pathetic to play third person sp games such way.
Idd
I have both
This is exactly what I did a few months ago, built a pretty decent micro ATX with a 6900xt, that thing boots directly to steam (using a gaming Linux distro made to mimic steam deck), the real steam deck os ui, not big picture, everything can be done and tweaked with a gamepad (dual sense works perfectly wireless) and works amazingly well.Steam OS is the solution to that thing. Give me the Steam Deck experience on the TV with some decent hardware and we cooking.
Ah to be young again.
I remember watching a Louis ck special where he talked about it feeling good to sit down. At the time I didn’t get it. Now I get it.
I actually did something like that before but decided to get back to desk for work because I feel like I'm being too lazyThat's funny, i work from my couch and game at my desk.
Desks are a sacred place, couches and than there’s recliners:
Good sir, I need to ask for a link of your TV stand, looks very clean! Here is the comfy couch setup.
Thanks. It was from a local furniture store years ago, and they no longer have this in stock. I can't even find the name, so sorry, don't know.Good sir, I need to ask for a link of your TV stand, looks very clean!
It's not that simple. Basics of geometry: when you make x2 view distance , you get only 1/4 of screen square in your field of view. So, tiny 27 inch monitor would be perceived even few times smaller in you field of vision if you change you position from 70cm to 120cm range from monitor. In case of 50 inch TV it would be such problematic, because changing position from 1.5 to 2meter change perceived screen square only by 1.8 times. You don't have to sit like that even at a desk for single player games. While I prefer playing those type of games on console, I have at times reclined back, and kicked my feet up on the desk playing less intense games.
Yeah monitors are just too damn tiny these days compared to a TV.It's not that simple. Basics of geometry: when you make x2 view distance , you get only 1/4 of screen square in your field of view. I understand all of that but you are making it sound like reclining back at your desk suddenly makes 27" not viewable. It doesn't bother me to lean back for my 27" monitors if I am playing (or watching) something at my desk but I understand it might bother some people. It's not that simple. ITX Build that can move between couch and desk master race.
Best of both worlds. 1440p 240hz OLED, and 4K 120hz OLED.
