[I collect VHS tapes]

I'm sure most people don't give a shit but I actually look forward to it. I'm not a cycling enthusiast (I mean I love cycling but that's about as far s it goes) but do find it to be a very enjoyable, relaxing view. I try to always tune in.

It's the only sport event I try to watch every year (with Roland Garros). It's the best IMHO. The effort of these guys is unparalleled.
Sadly, with work, very difficult to watch now except weekends. When I was a kid, I was on holidays, I could watch all day (with a nap in the middle). Even live many times as I was on holidays near a very frequent mountain summit. This year, very few mountain stages during the weekend, which is a shame for people working office jobs.

Plenty rode that far without doping....they just never did it that fast or with such quick recovery. Lemond did it all without doping.

Phil Ligget is a great announcer commentator. He can talk about all the cyclist and the route for hours and is good at it.

We have the Ironman triathlon which is pretty cool. I'll watch that when I come across it. Then weep a little bit because I always wanted to do it as a kid but I'm well past being able to do it now.

Its not just a french thing. A lot of European countries have their own tours, France is just the most famous one. Where I grew up we had some famous bike riders who did well in some past tours (and also got caught up in the doping scandal).

Anyways I know for sure there is a Tour de Spain and I think Tour of Italy is also one of the more famous ones.
