So where's Gaborn? (RIP Gaborn)

WTF. Didn't really expect this conclusion in the thread.

Rest in Peace. He always liked nature and I liked the threads he made on the subject.

Can we get a explanation as to what happened? Gaborn was one of my favorite posters and part of Lions/NFL-Gaf. Really going to miss him.

I think I've got a phone number for his father. I'll try giving him a call tomorrow during the day to see if I can find out any more information.

I'm also going to pass along the condolences--Gaborn was passionate, articulate, energetic, intelligent, and friendly, and it's a real loss.

I like your detective skills. At least if nothing else stress that he's touched so many lives on GAF and that we pass on our condolences.

I was actually wondering this for a while, too. I knew he had health issues from a couple of posts he made, but I was trying not to fear the worst.

Sad that it actually happened. :(

Gaborn, you've never seen me participate in one of your threads, but I certainly read them. You were part of what made OT GAF, OT GAF, and it'll never be the same without you. Rest easy.

I made this back in the day :(

RIP

Never got to talk or debate with him, but he certainly was able to articulate his position on subjects very well. He was definitely a 'neogaf character' and the board won't be the same with out him.

RIP.

This is one of those moments where you never really expect people to disappear like this. Maybe someone leaves GAF due to getting tired of the site or the Internet but not like this. :/

R.I.P., I always respected him or standing up for the misunderstood people of society and bringing our attention to the stories that affect them.

Holy shit. RIP

One of my favorite posters in the OT. I always looked forward to his new animal discovery threads.

This thread turned out so ironic in many ways but also fitting when you think about. I think he would smile at that.

Fucking hell, this hit like a tonne of bricks.

For all the jokes, and the gags, and the Gaborn News stuff, the positive effects he had on GAF should never, ever be ignored. He's done a hell of a lot for a hell of a lot of people, and he's going to leave a big hole in a fair few communities. I'm going to leave most of the eulogies to people who knew him way, way better than I did, but he can be proud of the good he did here.

RIP, Gaborn.

I'm very sorry to say that I'm fairly certain Gaborn passed away on September 26th, 2012.

It's not my place to violate his privacy or speak on behalf of his family, but there is an obituary for someone matching his exact name and birthday in the state where he lived.

OMG. :O

RIP Gaborn.

Just wanted to post my condolences the the man. I am a rather Chaotic Libertarian, and nowhere near as eloquent as the man. But Gaborn was a wonderful poster. May he rest in peace.

R.I.P., I always respected him or standing up for the misunderstood people of society and bringing our attention to the stories that affect them.

I remember when in my lurker and early days here really changed my views on the transgendered community I'm thankful that he was able to make me that much more kind and understanding of others.

One of the best OT posters with his well thought out opinions. Very shocking to find out his death in this manner. RIP

Aw fuck...I was worried when a couple weeks went by without him posting anything, but I had hoped that it was just a long vacation or something.

:(

He was a cool dude.
