TigerKnee said:To be honest, judging from the PS3 screens, next gen HAS been here starting with the X360. Sony is just playing catch-up now.
Honestly now
Put talented developers on both of these machines and you will see mindblowing graphics on either of them.
Truelize said:Yeah next gen started with Oblivion and Graw.
E3 is getting the ball freakin rolling though. Some of this stuff is just plain Nucking Futs.
Mike Works said:I think Sony and Microsoft are delivering next gen graphically and Nintendo is delivering next gen with control, and I think that's awesome.
If I want to play some mind blowingly amazing lucious graphical masterpiece I can slide in something for my 360/PS3, and if I want to play something absolutely new that feels like nothing else I've ever played, that's what the Wii is for.
It's really nice having such a difference in variety/option. We've never seen such a discrepencie hardware wise, and I don't know about the lot of you, but I'm the typical gamer who fucking adores variety in game(play). Give me Frequency, ICO, Smash Brothers, and Halo or give me death.
do i have to?StephaneC said:look PD0 six month before the xbox 360 release ... and today.
Tr4nce said:Well, IMO the PS3 did MOSTLY (MGS4 not included) not live up to the graphical expectations, but there's something most people seem to forget here and that is the fact that these are only the first games. Look at the graphics on PS2 when it launched, and look at the graphics now, for example Shadow of the Colossus. Things will get much better!
P90 said:Prettier graphics don't make it "next gen" for me. The wiimote and the tilt sensor in the PS3 make it next gen. Gameplay>graphics for me.
Prine said:Next gen began with Ghost Recon and Oblvion
jacomar said:My bet is : PS3 tilt sensor = PS2 pressure sensitive buttons
Zaptruder said:Well, except for AA... I'm not expect Killzone 2 level graphics WITH the anti aliasing they had in those shots. Unless my memory is foggy on the AA...
MaestroRyan said:No. Next-generation begins when Mass Effect releases or Wii launches, whatever comes first.
MrSardonic said:Next-gen graphics are in Crysis. Apart from that it looks like a fairly typical FPS
I'm not sold on the enxt-gen dream just yet. Maybe the 2nd wave of software will change that
