I can't flip through channels without seeing some sort of Texas hold em tournament going on. Admittedly it bored me to death to watch these guys play on TV... until I went to Vegas. After playing with guys who knew what they were doing, I caught the fever. I've been playing since I've been home, but it's hard to get 10 buddies together (if not impossible). So I turn to my games (which never let me down). You want stereotypical latin guys who race cars for poon tang, there's a genre just for you. You want to kill cops, bang hoes and blow shit up, consoles have you covered. So with game devs milking anything that's big in pop culture, why have they ignored poker? PC has tons of these games, but I would rather play over XBL in the comfort of my couch (especially since these sessions are so long). Anyway, I know WSOP comes out this week, and to my surprise there's no hype nor news about this game at all. Doing a search I saw like 1 thread about Stacked for PSP, but that's about it. Do you guys ever play poker games? Does it just not translate to consoles? Just wondering why there's such a shortage of this genre that has garnered such a large following in such a short timespan.
