Social Distortion Tour Kicks Off

I was at the opening night of the Social Distorion tour last night in Johnson City, New York, and I just wanted to let you know, that it's quite the tour they've kicked off. If your a Social D fan, or just a punk fan in general, you'll definitely appreciate it.

The opening band is a chick band called The Eyeliners, and they were pretty good. It's lighter stuff, but it's good. The second band is the Los City Angels who were just insane. Two guitar players, four vocalists, and a drummer...The blonde guitar player is good, but all their lyrics are garbled, because four guys are all just screaming all at once.

Then Social Distortion entered the stage. It was set up perfectly. Since the event was held at the Magic City Music Hall, there was only about 200 of us in the little bar, and it was real cool. They played for about an hour and a half, and it was full of energy. Good solid rock and roll.

Mike Ness said some pretty funny things too. The best part was, since it was such as small venue like I said, was that the bands were all hanging out with us after they got done playing.

So anyway, if you like punk, Social Distortion, or just good old rock and roll, go check out a Social Distortion show as their tour is just kicking off. Check their website for the rest of the dates.

Schweet. The first concert I went to was a Social Distortion show. Really odd, since I'm so not punk it's not even funny. :) But I dig their music.

Yeah, they put on a really good show. I'm definitely a bigger fan of them now that I saw them live than I was before. You guys should check it out.

I saw them a few years ago at a crappy outdoor concert put on by a radio station here in town. They were the only thing saving that horrible show. They are certainly worth seeing.

They're back again? Oh shnap! I saw em at Soma in San Diego a few months back and they really kicked ass. Every song sounded amazing. One of the few bands that sounds better live than on the cd.
