I wonder what the atmosphere at this event will be like. Is it going to be like PAX since it's super fan-focused? I'd love to go but LV is goddamn far from Toronto.

Its timed and the devs acknowledged that they want to do a PC version if they can iirc.

It is at this point. No other version has been announced. They just said they want to do the PS4 version first.
PC version could come in 2017 for all we know lol.
Really this this is brilliant by Sony. Hold your own event. Get the stage to yourself and to the creators. Do fanservicd. Get the hype rolling just for your own stuff. No other headlines competing for attention. Just like last February. Do more of this

I'd love to see them making a full list of the games (showing their platforms and publishers/developers) shown/announced there once everything is revealed, just to kill faster the 'it haz no gamez' comments with a simple link.

Since there are so many new faces to the PS4 it makes sense for Sony to release the Uncharted Trilogy on PS4 in anticipation of Uncharted 4.

While it will be there, and I hope they show gameplay (since no way will they have an actual playable version yet), it will probably be pre captured already so we just get it in video form and it will be short (like 10 seconds or less, hell I would even believe 5 seconds or less)., and that's if they show gameplay. Still feels too far away, so they might have more character model in game footage like what they showed at E3 of Drake.

I think it's Sony's way of building a bit more hype for their console after a relatively quiet last quarter(in regards of new announcements etc.).

They've had a ton more announcements then anyone else, by far. Gamescom and TGS were both loaded. I mean what has been announced by Microsoft or Nintendo since E3? Both combined don't even measure up

You don't get to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Playstation often.. pretty sure it's gonna be big. And there is a lot of stuff to show. The PS4 is selling well but I think they know what people wants, and that's variety and exclusives, old franchises coming back, new ones, whatever.
You can bet that there will be something from the PS1 or PS2 era. They want to re-established themselves as The brand of gaming, you can feel it and you can see the changes from the PS3. I feel a lot of surprises ahead.

In terms of the full year I agree they've had plenty of announcements, but over the last couple of months Microsoft has been doing pretty well with the release of some good games etc. and this is just a way for Sony to remind people of what they're capable of without actually releasing anything.
