Some Playstation Experience games and developers announced

I don't expect anything like the Nepal Uncharted 2 demo but I'm hoping for something like the E3 trailer with some gameplay mixed in

The only reason I think we won't get anything too substantial is because the day of the conference, they would still be a year before an actual release (I think they said Holiday 2015 not fall right?). It seems too far away to have anything too extensive. More character models, sure, more environments and lighting, possible, substantial gameplay (in this case substantial is like more than 15 seconds) could come back to bite them in the ass. Look at how people crucify the order from the gameplay they have shown and that was from May.

How long was it after the E3 showcase that Uncharted 2 came out?

Officially announced in the January 2009 issue of Game Informer, it was released in October 2009 - form wikipedia, so the only E3 it did had to be the 2009 e3 in the summer
I see, so ya it seems a bit premature to expect any sort of extensive gameplay footage.

While it will be there, and I hope they show gameplay (since no way will they have an actual playable version yet), it will probably be pre captured already so we just get it in video form and it will be short (like 10 seconds or less, hell I would even believe 5 seconds or less)., and that's if they show gameplay. Still feels too far away, so they might have more character model in game footage like what they showed at E3 of Drake.

I do not think they are going to show a 5-10 second teaser of Uncharted 4 that is shorter than the Uncharted 4 teaser they have already shown. I dont think that would go over well at all. The only way it would work is if they showed like a 10 second clip of live gameplay, just right in the middle of some action that showed off the style the game is going for.

What you are describing is more of how you would reveal a game, with a teaser that short. They have already revealed it.

lol Shu just basically regurgitated what we already know on the first page and it sends you all in a spin.

Uncharted 4 hadn't been officially confirmed until that tweet. Just Naughty Dog was on the list of devs at the Experience. If you read through this thread, there are many posts where people have thought they could be there just for a panel or discussion, they could be announcing an Uncharted Collection, or they could be showing/teasing Uncharted 4. But Uncharted 4 has only been speculation on GAF until Shu's tweet.

Oh? I missed that? Got distracted by burns and y2ks yelling match
mating calls
... Lmao jokes jokes.

according to him, at least one of these is supposed to happen by Christmas day

You can only choose one option. And whilst there is a right answer, that doesn't mean there isn't a wrong one. It's not like I know...

Your choices:

a) SCEE announces a first party exclusive to be released in 2015, which is not a re-master.
b) SCEA announces a first party exclusive to be released in 2015, which is not a re-master.
c) SCEJ/A announces a first party exclusive to be released in 2015, which is not a re-master.
d) SCE announces no new PS4 exclusives, but one or more re-masters to be released in 2015.
e) SCE announces no exclusives at all.
f) A new exclusive from Capcom is announced for PS4.
g) Next generation Mass Effect is unveiled (footage, title etc.).
h) Street Fighter is announced as an exclusive to PS4.
i) Rockstar unveils their next generation game.
j) Valve announces an exclusive for PS4.
k) Knack 2 is announced.
l) A new IP by a third party is announced.
m) FFVII remake is announced.

If anything, Sony should blacklist Square Enix from ever attending any of their events ever again, given that they gave away TR as an exclusive to their direct competitor.

Then it surprises me so many people missed when it's on the actual PS Exp website.

Corporations aren't petty school children.

It is super, super, super....super rare a company would ever do this.

They're also responsible for setting Sony up with the single most important game for the PS4's future in Japan, Dragon Quest Heroes.

Fair enough, but at this stage, Square Enix are basically taking Sony for a ride. They showed up at the PS4 reveal showing nothing of worth, spouting "PUREASE BE EXCITED", when it turns out there was nothing to be excited for, and to top it off, they give TR, a series that has historically sold better on PS platforms, as an exclusive to the competition. That's basically spitting in the face of Sony.

I mean, for fucks sake, Sony helped save Square from bankruptcy back when it was going under, and this is how they repay them? Ugh.

Wow, so instead of releasing a mainline game in a popular, beloved series, they give a shitty, low-budget spinoff of that popular, beloved series.

How gracious of SE.

Believe!!

I wasn't serious.

All I need is 10 or so seconds of U4 gameplay and I'm good. Anything else new is just icing on the cake.

Lol I know you were kidding, it was more to make light of a terrible situation that Valve is never going to finish HL3 :(

Sony needs developers as much as developers need companies that make the consoles. SE is a big name with big IP's. Sony is clearly not mad about the TR thing, so you shouldn't be either.

I love my PS4, don't get me wrong. I've played 2 games shy that I ever played on my PS3, but that's because I'm getting back into gaming and before I only played naughty dog, QD games and GTA. So much so I'm going back to play games I missed.

Saying that Sony desperately need games that are AAA, ones that review superbly not just marketed as AAA. If they reveal big games at this experience thing, then they must have some big stuff at E3 too right? I'm thinking maybe Guerrilla and Media Media Molecule December announcements, then E3 will be Quantic Dream (new Sony 1st Party??) and Sony Santa Monica with God Of War 4.

These games need to be very good too. I hope I'm wrong about The Order looking lacking and Until Dawn turns out to be good.

I agree with this post. Actually Sony should ban Square Enix from the PS4. That will teach them messing with the most populair console! While they at it they should ban EA for that TitanFall debacle! Ubisoft for 900p gate and Activision for fuckin over Sony with their CoD exclusive deals!

Say no to backstabbers!

Yeah, E3 is pretty important for Sony. It is for all the publishers, really. If anything, Sony actually treats E3 less important than others do, because they tend to give a lot of attention to Gamescom as well.

Still, as long as it's E3, I'd say it's a natural expectation to expect at least 2 big reveals from any publisher. ( eg. new IP + one last thing )

I'm really curious what Uncharted will be like. Let's not forget Amy Hennig was pushed out and Justin Richmond shafted on his role so he left (wild speculation). Will the game be what Amy and the team set out to make?

I'm guessing the two teams came together to drastically change the game. Naughty Dog were very two teams until recently they kind of changed that.

I'm sure with the Uncharted 2 team leads taking over its going to be very good, but will it be Last of Us good which from conception to completion was handled by these two!
