Some Playstation Experience games and developers announced

Infamous in Tokyo would be awesome.

All that neon :D

Would be amazing. Would love the atmosphere. Loved Sleeping Dogs in part because of that. It would be different in atmosphere (Tokyo and Hong Kong) but both still have that blend of colour from neons and wet pavements.

The thing about E3 is that for most parts, if you ignore the actual announcements itself, it's rather predictable 'on paper' when it comes to Sony. (and MS)

New AAA IP announcement ( Heavy Rain, Order 1886, Bloodborne )
Smaller first-party announcements ( Wonderbook, Entwined )
Gameplay demo/reveal of some first-party titles ( PSAll Star, Second Son, Order 1886)
Occasional fall reveal titles for established IPs ( LBP3 )
Big 3rd-party presence ( indie stuff and obligatory demo of the big marketing partner games )
One Last Thing ( TLoU gameplay demo, $399 #NODRM, UC4 proper reveal )

My prediction for PE:

1. Uncharted 4 Gameplay
2. God Of War 4 announcement by SSM
3. Media Molecule's New Game
4. Sony Japan New Game
5. A Sony exclusive Street Fighter game.

I doubt we'll see the new Guerilla or Bend's new game. I think those will be for E3 along with Quantic Dream and TLG.

Do you think Yoshida or someone else will say anything about the mistakes about Driveclub ?

What else do they need to say? He's already commented on it and they're working hard to fix it. Shit happens that's life lol, no point in bringing it up if there's new to say about the issue.

Also isn't this event for new games releasing 2015 and beyond, because Driveclub already launched. :p

Wouldnt surprise me. I mean Diablo came to Consoles so why shouldnt Overwatch?

People in the announcement thread have mentioned that Blizzard hinted at a console release during their panel. But it seems like they're going to focus on the PC release first, much like they did with Diablo 3 and UEE. I'm not really into competitive shooters, but i'd at least spent some time with it just for the ridiculously good art direction.

They don't have to talk about Driveclub specifically but I think it's worth asking them what steps have they taken to minimise the chances of this occurring again in the future.

Are we expecting a main conference type of thing from this event, or just show floor stuff and various streams(like TGS).

Number 5 sounds like a money hat that wouldn't be worth Sony's time seeing as they are the market leader in- well- EVERYTHING console right now.

Number 1 sounds great and most likely plausible, Number 2, 3, and 4 are probably not happening.

1. Definitely.
2. Not happening, going by what Balrog has said on Twitter.
3. Possibly. Everyone was expecting it at Gamescom after all, but all we got was Tearaway PS4 instead.
4. God willing. Give me Gravity Rush 2.
5. Has this been hinted at by an insider or something? Sounds incredibly far-fetched that an instalment in a franchise of that magnitude would suddenly be console exclusive.

Prediction

1.Uncharted 4 gameplay.
2.Planetside 2 beta starts the day of the event.
3.Teaser trailer for Guerilla's new IP.
4.Finally a new demo for The Order 1886.
5.New game from SCEA announced(Just so i don't have to use whatever avatar Verendus comes up with for the bet)
6. New indie games/partners announced.

um, am i late on noticing this and misunderstanding the quote on gamestop's PS4 page?

http://www.gamestop.com/ps4

Bring Back the Classics - Soon you'll be able to download and play your favorite games from across the PlayStation catalog, including PS3, PS2 and PS1 games. Let's party like it's 1994!

one would assume it means PS Now but in that case you wouldnt be downloading the games, but streaming them instead, no?

Hadooken Cabs?

Maybe Guerilla's new game will be shown instead of SSM's game.

We're still waiting to hear what Bend, Polyphony, MM and Guerilla Cambridge have been up to on PS4.

I take it Naughty Dog is now one team again?

Does anyone think Sony will buy Quantic Dream?

Mostly everyone from ND should be working on UC4 because its planned for next year but still there might be another small group/team doing some work on their new project also which was hinted by ND like they are in very early stages for that.

Yes, but Uncharted 3 and Last of Us were developed separately. Question is, after Uncharted 4 comes out, will they go back to doing one project at a time?

No, they said recently that they will be a two major projects studio. Not two separate teams per say because they could not make it work, but at any given time, they'll have two big projects going concurrently at different stages of development and attention.

Yeah I just had a bit of investigative work. Some of the staff were working on Uncharted 3 and Last of Us at the same time as each other.

At the moment, The Last Of Us staff are working on Uncharted 4, as well as the original Uncharted 4 staff from 3. There's like two or three lead design and programmers. I guess with that manpower it's going to get done pretty quickly.

Question is what happens after?

Games don't get faster made just because more people work on them. :-P

I'm guessing a new ip and then The Last of Us 2.

True. I guess it depends on the nature of the work though. It may take twice as long to now animate drake than it did before so I understand that. However, you can't deny that more manpower does make things faster in some respect.

I guess it all comes down to how pedantic one wants to be.

I think more people means more content can be generated in a timeframe. But throwing more people on the same project will not make that project be completed faster.

Like Fred Brooks said: "The bearing of a child takes nine months, no matter how many women are assigned."

For all intents and purposes, there are no two separate teams at Naughty Dog. Everyone works on both projects. On some days, they'll put more work in one project and on others, about an equal amount for both. Nobody stays exclusive on one project

I was just readin an Interview with Suda about Let it Die and i think that both Ono and Suda are there for the Free 2 Play Panel, because y'know, Deep Down & Let it Die are F2P.

Correct.

I so want Deep Down to be a $50-60 product. Then again there is the slim chance Capcom does F2P right. But it's slim.
