Some Playstation Experience games and developers announced

I really, really, really hope it's Dino Crisis. I loved 1 & 2 on PlayStation and would love to have a proper sequel to it (ignoring that abysmal sequel that happened).

Resident Evil 4 style camera and handling, but with dinosaurs. Yes.

Dino Crisis?

Wasn't the last one an Xbox exclusive?

Why would it be coming back to PS?

3 didn't exist.

IT DID NOT EXIST!

Lalalalalala.

What are you talking about? Dino Crisis 1 and 2 were on PS1 and now we're hoping for the next installment after that to be for PS4.

Lol I don't blame you guys for "forgetting" about 3.

It was pretty miserable from what I remember.

Why wouldn't it?

I thought MS bought the rights to the franchise.

In fact, I figured a new Dino Crisis would be unveiled as an XB1 exclusive at E3 2015!

They didn't buy it, MS barely buys ips off. I don't think Capcom even ever sold any of their franchises.

The only reason it was an xbox exclusive was because they had problems developing the PS2 version and ended up just canning it. It was supposed to come out on both. It doesn't even have the "only on xbox" stamp because of this.

Multiplayer Morpheus.

Its going to be some special thing where they get a load of players on the same planet in VR, exploring.

Tales from my ass obvs, but 'A Night Under No Mans Sky' doing 'something different that's never been done before'?

OOOO.

A night under no man sky sounds like they will fill the room up with the game (like project it on the walls or cover the room in a bunch of screens) and let the people experience that. Or it is vr and they tell everyone in the audience to put on the provided morpheus prototypes and they all go through a level while the devs play it.

They need to stream every panel, all of them!
At least records and on YouTube later.

We'll have to see what they view as being an exclusive experience for people attending. For example, they never posted the full set of interviews that were shown in theaters after E3. The only posted Neil and Bruce's interview for Uncharted 4. But I did run across a cam recording not too long ago. So unless they're strict about recording, we may be able to see panels through that.

Its funny because a long time ago a SE person stated it would take like 10 years to make a FFVII remake. And that was about 10 years ago now lol. So if they would of just shut up and did it, would of been done by now and would be looking at 500 million in sales potentially.

I have no doubt a FFVII remake would sell 7-10 million copies.

Let them get Final Fantasy XV out first before we make this celestial leap.

I seriously doubt VIIR is the sure-fire thing so many people believe it is. It would be a colossal production investment, and unless they intended to reuse all that stuff with a VII2/3, I doubt it'd make any serious money.

2017 is the 20th anniversary of FF7. The perfect time for a release^^

Personally i think, this generation is the last chance for SE to make a FF7 Remake.

So do it Square - take that money

It's not even about that. We don't even know what Square's output is for massive games in the scale of FFVII.

FFXV is coming out in a couple of years, so that would be a benchmark. People saying that FFVII should be remade with a snap of a finger are forgetting what exactly is going on right now.

Armchair analyzing is one thing, getting half a thousand people to work on a game for 3 years is something else entirely.

If they ever make x-3 they should base it off of that ridiculous novel where tidus gets his head blown off.

It would mostly be paying for the art to be redrawn. They could still stick with the pre-rendered backgrounds and such, just remake em with higher pixel counts.

I mean ... the text is already all done and translated, the music is already all done, etc. You would just need to pay about 50 artists or so to go in and redraw the backgrounds and get a new engine for the battle system graphics. Then redo the overworld map, which is already done too just needs a complete overhaul. Voila you are done.

I know HD towns are hard and everything, but just not seeing where this colossal undertaking would come from

It's Square Enix though, they won't follow the original that rigidly. They'll change everything up and tarnish the good name of FFVII in the process.

How come Ubisoft isnt bringing any Tom Clancy titles to the event?

no Rainbow Six or The Division, its all mostly games that came out already

Because they wouldn't do that.

If you target purely the nostalgia angle, you're only going to sell at most as many as the original, minus all those people who no longer game or care, you wouldn't get anywhere close to the estimation you posted.

To be a big deal, it needs to be redone to XV quality. It could easily cost a hundred million dollars, another fifty to market it, you're already looking at five million new copies at full price to get into the black.

My best guess is that Rainbow Six is not ready to be shown off proper yet.

The Division is co marketed with MS so you won't be seeing it at any Sony events.

hmmmm

yeah I don't think so. A remake of FFVII would be expected to adhere to the originals aert style and presentation style. Don't think people would be really bothered by it.

and I think you are underestimating gamers overall love for FFVII. A true SE done FFVII with a remade graphic engine for the overworld map and battle system and redrawn beautiful pre-rendered backgrounds would sell like hotcakes. Minimum 5 million. Skies the limit on the maximum I think.

Which is part of the problem of remaking it now. If they don't change anything then it'll be called archaic by some. If they change anything then they'll be accused of ruining a classic.

Sure, you think it'd take ten years for that? No. We inherently know their plan would be grand just based on what they've said about it.

Really excited to see what Sony/RAD shows from The Order. Really hope the game delivers.

Cross fingers for The Order:1886.
My most anticipated game of the beginning 2015.

I wonder what Sucker Punch is doing now? inFamous3? New IP?
Maybe SSM will show something new and Naughty Dog? They're working only on Uncharted 4? Give me TLoU 2 ND!

Yeah, mine too. :)

Naughty Dog has a 2nd major project in early pre-production aside from UC4, but we're not going to hear anything concrete about that for at least a year, unless they decide they're going to go the route of "announce game 2 years before release."
