Yeah there is definitely something going on.
They could just be putting up stuff based around the 20th anniversary though and harking to days of yore of the PS1 with the bootup sound and memory cards.
I fully expect an upside down PS1 pic to appear.

As long it's not the boat footage or manor/castle footage they have been teasing in the last trailer. I want to see some kind of sword fight (GOW-style) with the Lycans or some kind of investigation (ala L.A. Noire) gameplay.

duckroll mentioned awhile back that the mobile launch was very rocky, so L5 spent a good deal of time just getting that version sorted out. It wouldn't surprise me if they dropped the other versions if that one wasn't successful after the fixes.
