Good god, I forgot how horrible Retro's website was. Seriously, that is the worst looking site for a major developer that I've ever seen.

Actually, that's probably the worst developer website in general that I've ever seen, now that I think about it. One of the developers I worked at years ago was some no name studio that made some of the most garbage games you can imagine (primarily pet sims). And even THEY had a respectable website. What the hell, Retro?

Watch it be the exact same situation as DKC3. Retro releases a third DK game for Wii U instead of NX and people lose their shit and they'll be like "but we updated our site guys!" And we'll forgive them.

DKCR/3D was already great. Fans of certain series just get up in arms when they are missing an iteration and want a dev to work on that instead of something else. I think plenty of fans who enjoyed and appreciated DK and knows the MP devs aren't at Retro anymore would be less quick to freak out over DK.

I think Armature is pretty good proof that Pacini, Matthews, and Keller weren't solely responsible for the greatness of the Prime series.

You guys....

YOU guys... Should probably be used to GAF's behavior toward you at this point :p

Hope it's okay to bump this thread. It seems Retro's new website is on. It still looks outdated af but better than before.

No new info about their upcoming games such as F-Zero the board game or Cranky Kong x Metroid but it's nice to see their website updated.

I'm pretty sure all dev time since DK a Tropical freeze has been going into that new website. Mission accomplished guys.

Pretty odd how, in the "GAMES" section, they list their development support on the DKCR 3DS port, while leaving out that they developed the Wii original on their own. They even list the accolades it earned below.

IS this the only branched developer from nintendo to have its own website?

And 1-UP Studio. And Nintendo European Research & Development. In fact, that's pretty much all of them, save for Nintendo Software Technology and most of the non-video-game-developing development groups.

Anyway, Retro's new website scales down well on mobile and doesn't use Flash for an opening splash animation, so it's an automatic improvement.

Man it kinda looks like a wordpress blog. But it does have a clean design and it's easy on the eyes imo. Hope this means we'll hear from them soon.

Those CSS snippets looks old. No one would code CSS that looks like that today. And it's targeting down to FF2 which was released in 2006.

to be fair, every website thinks I'm running firefox 2.0 on my windows vista laptop

even though it's completely up to date

Thanks for the bump. This went under my radar as I've been occupied with some NX stuff.
