It's amazing the shit you'll find in a playlist. :( I can't believe at some point I burned 3 HoP songs to bring to work... and now I'm trapped listening to them.

Word to your moms I came to drop bombs
I got more rhymes than the bible's got psalms

Ooooh, the metal mix of Shamrocks and Shenanigans. No turning back now, it's Early 90's Music Day for the duration now!
*finds a shameful but not surprising number of grunge tunes on HDD, cues them all with some Maestro and a bit of early solo Moz*

'Cause I got lyrics, but you ain't got none.
If you come to battle bring a shotgun.

Thanks for getting that song stuck in my head, jackass. :p

(Tryin' to play me out like as if my name was Sega.)

Run Away Train, Never coming back.... Wrong way on a one way track....
Seems like I should be getting somewhere. Somehow it's neither here nor there!

somehow you just made me think of the above crappy 90's song when reading your post. Damn you. >:|

You can’t be down, punk, get off my dick
You make me sick, like strawberry quik
Your style is wack, you ain’t the mac
So yo step back, get off the crack

Hahaha, so classic. But holy shit is "put on your shit kickers" a terrible, terrible song. Totally unlistenable even for shitty-song-nostalgia.

Now I want to listen to Kris-Kross. :( I just remembered I bought that disc. Was some sort of powerful hallucinogenic drug released into the air of North America around 1992? Why can I remember EVERY LINE of Jump ???

How high, real high ‘cause I’m just so fly
A young loveable, huggable type o’ guy
And everything is to the back with a little slack
‘Cause inside-out is wikkity wickkity wickkity whack
I come stompin’ with somethin’ pumpin’ to keep you jumpin’
R&B, Rap and bullcrap is what I’m dumpin’
Ain’t nuttin’ somethin’ ‘bout Kris Kross, we all that
So when they ask, "Do they rock?," say, "Believe that"
I'm actually sad I don't have that mp3. I may call my wife and have her upload it so I can get it here at work.

Ripclawe

Banned
and now for whatever reason I can't get My posse's on Broadway lyrics out of my head after jump around.

Me and Kid Sensation and that home away from home
In the Black Benz Limo, with the cellular phone
I'm callin' up the posse, it's time to get rippin'
The freaks a need a sunroof, to keep you sucka's trippin'

though it does back up my feeling that 90's rap>>>>>>>>>>>> rap today :p

She won't come, just when you want it

Ya see, I'm Irish, but I'm not a leprechaun
You wanna fight, then step up and we'll get it on
You gotta right to the grill, I'm white and I ill
A decendant of Dublin with titanic skill
I ducked and I swing, next thing your jaw's broken
Punk I ain't jokin', you can bet you'll be chokin'
On a fist full a nothin', meanwhile I'll be puffin'
On a fat blunt, run punk, you don't know the half
Tryin' to talk shit, man, please don't make me laugh
These Irish eyes are smilin', I'm buckwildin'
The House Of Pain is pumpin', start jumpin'
Freak it, funk it, back seat junk it
If you can't get with it, you'll wind up sweatin' it
Then you'll get a beatin' just like an egg
It's so hard to run when you've got a broken leg
But we can have a run off, the House Of Pain'll come off
We got the cake that you're tryin' to get a crumb off
The Irish stylee, the Celtic jazz
No one has it, just us that's it
If you try to take it, I got a big shileighly
I don't have dreads cause I shave my head daily
You call me a skin head, I call you a pin head
Yo, where you been man, just like the tin man
You got no heart, here comes the good part
I pick 'em, buck 'em, cut 'em up, and buck them down
No fuckin' around
Home boy ya get clown like Krusty, trust me
You shouldn't play, and by the way
Top o' the mornin' to ya

[Chorus]

(What's the hassle man?) Top o' the mornin' to ya [2x]
(Hey, are you givin' us a hassle man?)

Greetin's, salutations
Peace to the nations of Zulu and Islam
Crack the bottle, rev the throttle
Put the gear in, now you're stearin'
Like Mario Antretti
So let me kick it, cause I can make a wicked
Noise like a cricket
Rubbin' his legs, my rhymes are like eggs
I'll keep layin' 'em, I'll keep sayin' 'em
This is the House Of Pain, we're far from plain
But we're not fancy, Ron and Nancy
So just say no, but I say go
Straight to hell, I kiss and tell
So if you're a ho, all my friends know
What you gotta say, let's hit the hay
And have no delay, and yo, by the way
Top o' the mornin' to ya

[Chorus]

Extra extra, read all about it
How could ya doubt it?
Now scream and shout it!
The House Of Pain soon will reign
Over the hip hop scene and like golden green
I rip shit and back flip like a Jedi
I roll with the groove and I'm smooth and you can bet I
Come correct and get respect when I'm flowin'
Collectin my dough, I got you're girlfriend ho-in'
And how do I know that she's funk?
I know she's broke cause yo, the T's hung like a
Shetland pony, gettin' paid like Sony
So never ever try to play me out like a phony
Cause I can get real thick like a bull with Mark Toneil
And by the way, top o' the mornin' to ya

[Chorus]
oh yeah.

8bit

Knows the Score
As in "If your bitch steps up, I'm slapping the ho'."

Oh dear. Download Bob & Earl - Harlem Shuffle, and exorcise House of Pain.

All I know is, Everlast has more lives than a cat.

First he came out rockin' polka-dotted ties as a solo artist (remember the "My Sharona" sampling "I Got the Knack"?)

Then he comes back as an Irish gangsta with HoP

And now he's a sensative acoustic geetar playin' hip-hop beat havin' please-don't-make-me-listen-to-this-shit-anymore dude.

I don't care for dude much (although the Pete Rock remix of "Jump Around" is still fiyyyyya to this day!) but he's definitely got some stamina.

I listened to a disturbing amount of House of Pain while skateboarding in high school, so I still have a bit of a soft spot for it. It's amazing how many Star Wars references were spread throughout their first LP.
