I'm pretty sure Sony have sent trucks full of cash to Take 2's headquarters, is this prediction correct?![]()
Think about which one would mean the least to Sony if it happened.

Doom_Bringer said:so Xbox 360 is getting FFXII?
sol5377 said:All are likely at E3, imo:
Square Enix with 1 title for 360.
GTA Next on 360 (timed exclusive?)
One more big 360 announcement.
Don't expect Rockstar to show anything of a next-gen until next year.Borys said:Sony would be damn smart in sending BIG FAT cash checks to Take 2 for exclusive GTA: Next-Gen for PS3. Announce this at E3 with some sort of short CG representing in-game graphics.
Square Enix will support Nintendo more than actually

Odnetnin said:I think they're still working on
a) THE WARRIORS
b) PC+XBOX GTA VC
so next Gen GTA might have to wait a while. But then its mostly the same game so....
Borys said:Plus GTA: PSP (thanks, SSx).
Amir0x said:Can you hear that? Shhh. Shhhhhhh. Hush now. It's that rumble. The crack and sway of the Earth moving beneath your feet. It is happening, in nine days.
All your questions, answered. And a shockwave.
EternalDarko said:Anyone wonder why there's been little to no FFXII news for such a long time?
also, Squenix has a very big amount of support for the DS compared to the PSP which is quite shocking considering their track record

FF12 goes 360.

That's why Square said nothing about this game. It will shock the industry. Same game, revamped graphics (from PS2 to 360!), added co-op maybe?
Square's mysterious silence + MS's deep pockets. Makes some sense.
SolidSnakex said:How does that really make sense? FFXII is costing alot of money to make as it is, so they're going to can it on the biggest RPG fanbase there is and then rebuild it back up on the follow up to the system that did extremely bad in Japan? That makes sense?
Doom_Bringer said:Sony owns 8% of Square Enix's stock.
Doom_Bringer said:They were pretty pissed after Square put FFCC on GC
xsarien said:Oooh, a whole 8%.
That's hardly a controlling share of the company. Square goes where the audience is, end of (fucking) story.
Were they?
Unless Sony has a board member at SE, they don't really have much control over them (?)

Nintendo have part of Game Designers Studio (Square Enix) right ? so this studio is probably working on other games for revolutionDoom_Bringer said:Sony owns 8% of Square Enix's stock. They were pretty pissed after Square put FFCC on GC and we know they never released GC game again....
I don't see this happening.
MightyHedgehog said:The already fairly exorbitant costs of SE's biggest titles will likely be the reason you'll see a strong push for multiplatform releases from them next-gen, IMO. SE's so large at this point, developer headcount-wise, that it would seem to be so foolish to place all of their product on just one line of hardware in a given market.
Doom_Bringer said:Look they helped Square after Final Fantasy Spirits Within flopped big time. I mean the movie bombed and Sony gave Square $150 million. Do you think Square will just take the main FF franchise and put on an American console? Not only will that piss of Sony, it will also piss off the fans.
This is very unlikely but it can happen.
A story was posted on these forums right after FFCC was announced. It goes something like this: Ken was not in Japan when Square announced FFCC for GC, but when he came back he called Square immediately and asked about the announcement and what had happened.
I don't remember too many details, but it was definitely posted here.
EternalDarko said:Well that was a funny situation because, from what I've been told; FFCC was made by a dev team which is pretty much funded by Yamouchi's Q fund, what Square did was allow them to use the Final Fantasy title and Publish the game under their name. So Square really didn't put much if any effort into the game.
xsarien said:Something big? Annouced at one of the two E3's that's going to precede the new hardware launches? I am shocked. SHOCKED.

Bebpo said:Err...and last time I looked FF is selling more in Jpn than the US and in Jpn the audience will be with the PS3.
I'm sure SE will make some Brave Fencer type games from Xbox360, but rpgs ALWAYS sell better in Japan and the rpg in Jpn WILL BE the PS3 no questions asked. So any major rpgs from SE will be on the PS3.
Maybe if Japanese rpgs got popular again in the US like during the days of FF7; then maybe we'd see more rpg's made for the Xbox360. But your average rpg in the US sells under 100k, shit most of them sell under 60k. Whereas in Japan you're looking at 150-400k for you small name average rpg and 500k-1million for your big hitters.
