Sonic Boom Fire & Ice Announced, 3DS, Sanzaru, Winter 2015, TV show successful

Sonic Pix, a unique function within the app, will inspire fans creativity by allowing them to include Sonic and his friends in their photos.

I think we all know what Sonic fans have done with their creativity

That's why

The franchise is more than games, you don't throw away a whole pizza because one slice has a big bubble on it, take my word on that.

Well...it depends, who's writing this game? Because I don't like Sanzaru's writers. I think they will have better gameplay (granted, there's nowhere to go but up) but I really hope the TV show writers are behind this one.

I'm guessing sales of the 3DS version must have picked up since the cartoon started airing. Even that crappy PAC-MAN game got a sequel.

Both Sonic Boom titles combined sold approximately 500,000 copies. You better believe that the vast majority of those sales were the 3DS version. The new game is a smart business decision.

Also, Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystals was a good game. It certainly had flaws and a bit too short, but it was a fine western developed Sonic title.

Aren't Sega and Nintendo contractually scheduled to make 3 more Nintendo Sonic games? Isn't this the third one now?

From that show teaser originally posted for it, I knew it would do well.

Haha, this thread is popcorn worthy, keep up the disgust guys.

I thought it was merely average at best? Obviously nowhere near as poor as the abomination on Wii U though.

Gives them a template to work from at least. There were some decent ideas in it, unlike the Wii U game which was largely just a trainwreck disguised as a brawler.

And the comics are getting canned too.

wait what!?

but that's my favorite part of this ill-advised multimedia venture!

I played the demo and thought it was the worst 2D Sonic I've ever played. It made Sonic 4 look like a masterpiece. Oh my lord the pacing.

I honestly thought this entire sub-franchise was doing poorly, but I guess it's just the comic and the Wii U version where everything's been catastrophic so far.

Good for SEGA, I guess! Too bad this game's just going to be tepid and mediocre, and not a lovely mess like the Wii U one.
