Sony-Age.com/forums - How do you view your PSP?

So,

After all the hype has died down and the dust has settled, it looks like most everyone is happy with their PSP's. I must say that watching TV shows recorded last night and watching them the next day is quite cool.

Their any websites that are showing just what all the PSP can do?

I've had it for 3 months and I love it just as much as teh first day I got it. It's always with me, and I play it tons. Currently watching my time being sucked away by Ridge Racers. Video playback is pretty sweet, but the colour bleeding is a pain at times (especially with red), and so is the ghosting...is there any fix for that? Could it be tied to the framerate?

Regardless, the system rocks total.

I had the color bleeding with my Jap unit, yea it was very annoying when watching shows/movies but my US unit doesn't seem to have the same problem.

Wait, just a few months back you were blasting us for being biased towards Nintendo and before that we were supposedly anti-Xbox. Make up your mind already.

It's apparent that I've found a haven of which I fall under the realm of having a PS2 and an Xbox. My mind has been made.

Either way... I'm hearing some interesting things about people using Gamecube discs in place of UMD's. Anyone else heard of this?

So the US screen is actually better? I find that hard to believe since people were complaining about colour bleeding/ghsoting on the NA units.

Mine has the red color problem too.. hmm
I'll have to investigate this further.

Both my Japanese and US units are used for Lumines or Darkstalkers, and occasionally, Ridge Racers. I hope to get more games soon, but I don't see anything very interesting aside from the very questionable Metal Gear Ac!d.

I'm very much enjoying my PSP right now. Sadly, my 1 GB stick hasn't come in yet, but being able to read manga on the screen is absolutely great.

As far as mass market appeal, I believe it's catching on just fine. I have already seen several people who usually don't play games run out and buy one after seeing what the system was capable of; I have also seen all kinds of people carrying around PSP's. I was actually playing Lumines against this middle-aged woman in the theaters the other day.

The multimedia aspect of the PSP is all well and good, but this is where you feel the brunt of the load times. If you just use the PSP for gaming, you don't suffer, because you avoid a lot of loading by leaving the PSP in sleep mode. But if, for example, you want to walk to the station while listening to music, play your game on the train, then listen to music as you walk from the station to the office, PSP leaves a lot to be desired. The music part is fine, but the load time you experience on the train is not fun.

This reads like the start of a letter to penthouse.

Ive never been as happy and satisfied with a video games related purchase as I've been with the PSP. Simple as that

Im extremely satisfied with my PSP and can't wait for more features to be made for it. I'm happy that I didn't get an IPOD because Im not a music enthusiast. I can listen to music, play it thru my car speakers, view documention, movies, clips, pictures, surf the web, and who knows what else!! All of this for $250 and with a screen thats beautiful.

Im a throughly pleased.
