Watching now, but had me cracking up in class when it started

MS
- New Console and Gears of War in the first few minutes of and some people were posing it was boring

Sony
- GoW (TLOU version) to start and many proclaiming it to be the best conference eva!!

Obviously not the same people but the difference in tones is hilarious

+ Spiderman
+ Resident Evil 7
+ Detroit

- Lack of Content This Year
- No NEO info (though expected)

6.5/10 for me. Liked MSFTs better for the first time since 2014. Also still not buying the Morhpeus hype, but if they can deliver quality at $400 could be a game changer.

Was the best conference, but only because the others weren't good (or didnt have games that interest me). Pretty shitty E3 for me since I dont like Zombie or Horror games.

Only stuff I liked out of this conference was:
-God of War (like the new cinematic approach)
-Detroit (Love David Cage games)
-Spiderman (I liked every spiderman since the PS2)
-Horizon (even though it looked a lot like Far Cry Primal: Giant Robots)

Too bad none of this comes out in 2016, guess my PS4 will stay unplugged for a while. I couldnt care less about TLG (unless IGN or Gamespot give it really good reviews; if they do i'll give it a shot)

I will say that they improved the pacing this time around. Pretty much everything in the show, sans some VR announcements, left a good impression.

Did Sony forget what colour is?

If this is what the gaming community is looking forward to, I think I am being left behind.

(Spider-Man looked pretty neat, and I will buy anything Resident Evil)

Didn't actually know I wanted a Spider-Man game until I saw the Insomniac Games logo.

God of Fucking War reboot. All for it. Norse mythology. Dark Souls-esque, read then react gameplay instead of box, box, triangle.

Pissed there was no Japanese love besides RE7 and FFXV. Sony have an onslaught of games slated from the East for this year as well as next year. Some even from their own studios. Dammit show more Gravity Rush 2.

No PS4 slim! WTF.

LOL They rolled out the white carpet for Kojima. Glad he's with someone that actually appreciates his legacy. Probably won't see that game in action for another 2-3 years. Was a nice moment nonetheless.

No E10... Sony makes some awesome third person action games, but they've left those of us who crave the R&C, Crash, Spyro, Jak & Daxter era Sony. Media Molecule is all we got, but they are MIA working on Dreams.

I'd rate it a 9. Because last year was a 10.

Lemme guess uncharted , ratchet and mlb don't count.

Tired of ms getting a pass.
Unless I'm mistaken they didn't show any of those at E3. They already launched. This is about Sony showing games at E3 that aren't coming this year which is something they did last year as well. There are no "Free passes" here.

MS and Sony serve to different tastes. It is known.

People are really expecting niche Japanese games like Persona 5 to show up at the Sony press conference @ E3. Get real. They already removed all the indies to make room for their Western AAA exclusives.

It's got a release date, is second to FFXV in terms of JRPG popularity, and has had no presence on Sony's stage despite FF getting it for years. So yeah

I don't blame Sony though, more angered at Atlus in general with their publicity

The big difference with Microsoft is that virtually all the games showcased there will release this year or the next. Sony's is the opposite, with all the most exciting stuff scheduled for 2018+.

Like the spectacle of a live orchestra and an LED pathway materializing out of nowhere to introduce a gaming legend?

Yeah. Zero spectacle here.

Nah, some of these people in this thread want really cringey jokes, fake co-op chatter and Blink 182 performing instead of games.

From what we've seen its looked rough, actual gameplay that it. I own a WiiU so I'm all for Zelda blowing my mind but seeing a game with a generation in visuals ahead of WiiU and horseback combat probably made a few Nintendo guys nervous

Gotcha. Honestly I thought Horizon's combat looked a bit rough...player walking through ropes, weapons that looked pretty but didn't have impact, and just seemed a bit boring overall.

it pretty awful

apparently showing trailers of games shown last year and still have no release date + generic western action game #98888 plus a crash bandicoot skylander is enough tho
Yeah, this is the new thing people!! E3 now as to be about games coming out in the near future! can’t hype stuff we aren’t aren’t playing soon! lmao..

Better tell Marvel and all those fans hyped about a 2018 movie to stop liking all there videos and teasers and asking for more!

Every thread no matter how great Sony’s conferences are, the salt comes.

last year was, “TLG looks the same”
“Shenmue is just a Kickstarter lol”
“FF7 is just an old game and CG trailer, its not even exclusive”

my goodness...

people disappointed at the lack of "neo", which was only confirmed to exist by sony this week, and the same person that gave the confirmation stated it wouldn't be at e3

Gears of War looked the same as all Gears of War.

God of War looked completely different from other God of Wars.

Horizon looks amazing as does the new GoW. A date for TLG. <3

The conference was great to me. Lots of games to look forward to and I want to see more of Days Gone. Haven't even gotten to the VR stuff yet.

Yeah I have to say I'm disappointed indie games didn't get the presence they have been building the last few years.

Such a catch-22. Too hilarious tbh.

Damned if they showed Indies and damned if they don't.

ummmm what???? pretty much all the games from last year had a release date and the ones that didn't were new

Found this infinitely more interesting than the the MS conference even though I maybe found 2 games of interest between the two conferences.

I could be sympathetic to those complaints, even if they did seem a bit salty.

This was just waves of games. Exclusives, no Kickstarters, etc.

Every year Sony always get crapped on for not showing fall exclusive games.

When a lot of exclusives they realize come out early in the year and Microsoft releases next to nothing.

But all in all the whole thing just felt disjointed and almost left you with a lot more questions than answers, which feels like the complete opposite of what should be happening. They honestly needed more people telling me about what their overall vision was and about the games themselves. And why was it so short in general? Sony usually do around 2 hours, this was less than 75 minutes. Overall the conference felt like either an experiment gone wrong or just like they didn't have enough time to make a decent, coherent conference.

But you already know what they would say in those situations. The same thing EA/Ubi/Beth said. "We want the gamers to be blah blah" or "We empower you to be the baddest gamer you can be."

There's never been anyone on stage for these events and actually improved just showing a trailer. It's always a waste of time. There's no reason it needs to be over 2 hours anyway.

8/10 while everyone else was 4/10. Won hands down. Their games had a noticeable higher AAA quality than shown elsewhere at e3. And they were back to back to back. Woosh.

I wish the stream quality didn't mess up. Seems like during Horizon it went from vibrant to a darker projection quality. Weird.
