That was a nice character moment with the elk at the end there. They seem to have stepped up their narrative abilities quite a bit which is breath of fresh air.

Let's give it a little more time for the gameplay. The tone shift was much needed to help freshen up the story a bit.

Huh, so the point is that GOW has grown up and now takes violence more seriously. Interesting direction, and maybe a pretty smart move (though how will this play as the game progresses? 20 minutes and back to same old nihilistic ultra violence? Or total change in flavor?)

I like it. Its got the mythology, and its not all " RAUGH I KILL YOU ALL REVENGE!", which got old. But hopefully they link it with the original trilogy.
