Every single game they showed I was wowed. Even Call of Duty blew me away. This conference should be studied by all marketing personal that others companies tried to do, because this is how you fucking do it.

It has some great talent behind it. That gameplay sample was really small in scope. There are a lot of cool ideas.

Yea this is how I feel. Think they just wanted to show of the density of the zombies, and the large scope of the game. Definitely on my radar now. Hope it turns out great.

I'm surprised people thought it was a good conference. Horizon looked awesome but pretty much everything else didn't do anything for me. Last year's was more entertaining by far.
U must have some impeccable taste in games that's high above everyone else's.. I wonder what kind of games u play🤔

People are really expecting niche Japanese games like Persona 5 to show up at the Sony press conference @ E3. Get real. They already removed all the indies to make room for their Western AAA exclusives.

A lot of "in development" game but it makes sense in a way.

  • 2016 is done for game announcements
  • Certain games are already slated for 2017 (Horizon, Star Wars, yearly CoD, Mass Effect, etc.)
  • Saying a game is slated for "2018" is so far away it would be more of a negative than just saying in development

Conference is a solid 8.5. Great looking titles that aren't coming out anytime soon.

Decent conference. Horizon and Days Gone are really the only games I want to play. But that was a weird demo for Days Gone. Just running and turning back and shooting every 30 seconds.

Right up there with the PC conference. And I'm not all that interested in most of the games they showed, save for Horizon and maybe Death Stranding (would like to know more about it). No one explaining to me for like 3 minutes what they're going to show. Just show it.

Enjoyed it.

Really? A 9 for Sony and 5 or below for everyone else? God of war was the best part. Horizon looks good too. But the rest wasn't mind blowing. Crash is just remasters. Not even a new one.

I would give Sony a 7/10. MS a 6/10. If I were to grade the two myself.

Yes, 9 for Sony and 2-6 for the rest sounds reasonable for me.

If you like games at all, aside from maybe the hardcore sports game fan, I dont see how this conference could have not caught your attention.

9/10. Enjoyed the Orchestra, GoW, horizon, TLG dated, etc. Ready to try lots of VR games in the next year. Excited for more info on Death Stranding. Sad no RDR.

9/10

days gone gameplay was underwhelming.

If last year wasnt the year of dreams then e3 2016 would have easily been elevated. No messing around rapid fire trailers and gameplay. Great stuff. Best pacing theyve had in a conference.

So Sony took e3 by neck and held it down 2 years in a row good stuff.

I want to play Spiderman ps4 so bad.

Time to rewatch all the trailers now that this is over.

That was my game of show without a doubt. Followed by Detroit and GOW4. Detroit did some really cool things the way they showed like 6 ways a single scene could play out. That was awesome. And I love how they are somewhat re-imaging GOW4.

Couldn't possibly expect them to live up to last year's e3 of dreams... But man what a disappointing conference. Nothing really unexpected, nothing of the scale of FF7 Remake from last year.

Solid conference that was well paced, but unusually short. Perhaps the Neo was indeed supposed to be there but was removed. Days didn't look like a game to end on. However, WHERE THE FUCK WAS RDR?!

I'll give it a 8.5 out of 10. Now I look forward to Nintendo for Zelda.

You don't plan or edit your plan in a few days. LOL

Not sure some of those shown VR games will make it in those forms, but fingers crossed for you guys.

Yeah, unless they have some black magic going, I'm not expecting to see those VR games looking like that when they come out.

What they have shown though has me cautiously keeping my PSVR pre-order though. I'll make the final decision as we get closer and see what the actual finished (or close to finished) products look like.

If you like games at all, aside from maybe the hardcore sports game fan, I dont see how this conference could have not caught your attention.

Not enough Japanese games, I guess. Personally I was impressed, and I only wanted a handful of games from it: Horizon, FFXV (lol), and fuckin' SPIDER-MAN.

But I mean...how many games do you need? I've got 14 games to get this year and another 13 for next year, so it's like...I'm already gonna be busy enough.

I've watched the Sony conference every year since they announced the ps3. Easily my favorite show so far.

Nothing but games. No bloated, filler bullshit I have no interest in. Everyone time someone came on stage there was a minute or two of dialogue and straight into another trailer or ganeplay feature.

The fairly quick vr segment was decent if not a bit confusing. RE7 somewhat sold me on the peripheral.

I commend them on not talking about the psneo and not beating me over the head with the new vr tech.

Overall, I'd give the conference a 7/10. The games shown were great, and the pacing was excellent -- they've finally figured out how to get straight to the point with their stuff. The lack of Sucker Punch, third-parties, and indie developers hurt them. It's telling that they gave next to no attention to Gran Turismo Sport -- you're starting to get the feeling that the bosses at Sony realize it's going to need a miracle to avoid being a massive disappointment.

Haha seriously?

Things I was right about this E3;
- Dead Rising 4, exclusive
- State of Decay
- Forza Horizon 3
- Xbox One S
- Xbox Play Anywhere
- Skyrim Remastered
- Spider-Man
- Crash Bandicoot (but not just Skylanders)
- Resident Evil 7 w/ VR support
- Death Stranding

Things I was about this E3;
- Rockstar showing off RDR at Sony's conference
- Resident Evil 7 being exclusive

83.3% accuracy ain't bad.

I would like to try this game with you:

MS E3 conference of 2017, 18 , 19 and 20 will have (Halo, Forza, Gears) I can gurantee 75% on this.

:)

So other than CoD and The Last Guardian, is there anything else coming out this year?

For me anyways it doesn't matter when the games are coming out. What does matter to me is if I like a game. Sony etc could have 30 games out this year but if I don't like any then it isn't a good thing. There was about 5 games I liked the look of, so for me it was a good conference.

Saying this was better than others isn't a great compliment. It's easy to say this was the best time Sony had regarding pacing of the conference, going from game to game and mainly focusing on important info besides the music intro. Ending with Days Gone demo was a mistake because the game looks good (too similar to TLOU thematic for me) until you start shooting. Even without playing it's enough to notice something is off.

But looking at the entire press conferences (unless Nintendo surprises...) there is no way this year is the best lineup at E3 like someone claimed before the show.

Funny how Deus Ex: Mankind Divided don't get a spot on some press conference considering the quality of some games shown today...

Horizon looks REALLY fuckin' good!

Everything else didn't do too much for me. Really dislike the far off showings of stuff like the Kojima game and (maybe?) Spiderman, I like seeing concrete dates of shit I'm gonna actually play. VR looks really unappealing to me as well.

Still, the conference atleast had a solid pace to it all and kept moving so it's likely the most solid of them just for that. But pretty lukewarm on it either way.

Wow that conference was not badly paced at all. Loved it.

I would like to see platform or PSN updates. Similar to how MS announces what they are doing with XBL. Overall really great.

I do think most of those games will be at E3 next year however.

The hits just. Kept. Coming. Kojima was a complete surprise. Resident Evil 7! Last Guardian in a few months! Crash is back! Days Gone looks crazy good. GOD. OF. WAR.

Sony won. I don't care, I don't care. They took it this year.

Damn, that Horizon, God of War: Norse, The Last Guardian, Days Gone, Death Stranding. Such a great conferance.

And I am probably in the minority here, but I actually thought the gameplay for Call of Duty: Infinity looked pretty damn cool. Surprisingly much better than I expected from the reveal trailer.
