What are you most excited for?

Finally got through both conferences. Don't really feel the need to pick one over the other. Good stuff by both. Nothing real crazy from either.

All in all

Days was looking cool, but at this point seems like Zombie game #1348. The infinity machine gun fire and zombies laying down... that was odd. You never know though, it may end up a lot of fun if the story is good

also, how many people really care about crash bandicoot or even know about him nowadays to make it a worthwhile thing to make a new game in the franchise. feel like the crash 1-3 remasters are for gaf only

Wut?

TLG is 2016 Oct
Horizon is 2017 March
RE7 is 2017 Jan
FFXIV is 2016 Sept
CoD:IW/MW:RE is 2016 Oct
50 VR games by the end of the year

This is just from the top of my head without looking.
Don’t waste your breath man. This is just some pathetic sticking point the warriors are using. Now it’s soo much better to just talk about things releasing soon, when E3 has always been about hype.

It’s just another bragging point to feel better about your console of choice, it’s ridiculous, they aren’t trying to be rational because it doesn’t make any sense. Individual games can have there own spotlight and coverage as they get closer to release, E3 is not a place to time stamp all our “out soon” content. it’s a show to wow and impress owners and entice potential ones, they can show whatever they want.

That.... was not good.

Microsoft started with a slimmer console with 4k playback, emphasized cross-play and ended with a more powerful console next year.

Sony had an orchestra? Cool?

It's not funny anymore, you can stop it guys.

Not a bad show but pretty much everything ending on a "is that really all this is?" tone.

And the show just kind of stopped. Felt like it should have had something else after that because that demo did not feel like a triumphant closer. PSX last year had the same wet fart ending with Paragon.

Underwhelming. And full of stuff that wont be out for 2 years or more (again). Overall lacking anything tangible.

You gotta remember, there is so much that can be done with the X1 hardware compared to the PS4. You are just not going to get those visuals on X1...which is unfortunate.

That's true man, but is the power difference that huge then? We certainly dont see it as much in multiplatform games. But i guess that's to be expected.

Perhaps with Scorpio things will be different. Perhaps we'll get a Halo 6 that will truly be a stunner and hopefully more new IP too. Because while i really enjoyed MS a lot....they really did not announce many new names sadly.

The conference had more substance than last year IMO. This was just a condensed conference with tons of cool stuff. No filler, no BS and minimal CGI reveals. Easily the best presentation of E3 hands down. Please make them like this every year.

9/10

I thought it was a bit boring. They had Kojima, great. Res evil looked good. Apart from that..

Oh and that horrendous voice acting in Horizon. lol. Shame because the world and gameplay look great. But the lead is uncharismatic (I want her to die rather than help her) and some of the voice acting is comedic, I'll likely pass.

Really Neogaf? It's not all of you just a few but really?

Back when Sony was pushing indie games on their conference I saw alot of I want real games and enough of this indy crap. Now Sony is showing AAA VR games is now some of you are saying I've had enough of that VR crap.

Some gamers fight change or anything that's different like it owes them money or is threatening their family.

I came into this show expecting nothing and I'm leaving pretty excited. That Spiderman game that Marvel is involved in has me amped!

Sony won it for me, pretty easily. I think MS had a good show, but no where near what Sony had. Although wtf at that Kojima trailer, what a mind fuck.

Games and stacks of them. You know they things you actually buy your plastic box for yeah?

Microsoft showed no new IPs this year and Sony don't need a stronger console, they are destroying the competition sales wise

Meh. Good format and pacing but I wasn't interested in most of the games. The demos were third person action games set in woodsy outdoor environments; kinda got old imo. Days Gone doesn't look too great. Best announcement were the Crash remasters and those aren't even new games.

Thinking about this conference more, this is how I see it. While there are no where near the surprises of last year's conference, there was still loads of new games shown, most of which are gameplay demoes and not even in engine trailers. Also, those games are shown one after another with the on stage talking kept to a bare minimum. The pacing was definitely better than last year's conference by a large margin.

So, in conclusion, while it may not be Dreams 2.0 in terms of shocks and surprises, it can certainly be considered Dreams 2.0 if you look at the overall package.

I disagree. This conference was hyped up by Gopher himself to overpower last year and it failed to deliver.

Doesn't change the fact that the PS4 getting flooded with software, but the changing tune from "This is about to be the greatest conference ever" to "Let's take things in perspective" is a bit jarring, no?

lol...I bet most of the planet will disagree with you though. Sony had games, the reason people buy consoles in the first place.

Good conference, short and into games.

Only let down is the total makeover to resident evil and no from software game announcing, oh well

Absolutely amazing and imo better than last year's. Sony absolutely killed it with this conf. :D

Man I loved Detroit and Horizon. I need them right now... lol

GB beings grumps and Gies being Gies?

Silly GAF...

They are right, I feel wanting more, Days Gone felt like a weak ending.

Wonder what games were left out that ARE COMING this year?

Great conference overall, really liked the new God of War footage and horizon, just a little disappointed that there was nothing about Ni No Kuni 2, was hoping it would come out this year :(

games? None of that other stuff matters if you don't care for MS' games... or if you have a PC.

MS had games as well of course.

But you're just transparently trolling, so I don't even know why I'm bothering

Microsoft brought games you can play real soon and Sony brought trailers of stuff you can play much later. That is my analysis of both. This does not distract from the fact that Sony did their darndest to wow the crowd. And the minimal speeches really helped draw me in. My only complaint about Sony's thing was the Crash remaster and thankfully they didn't waste much time on it. Also, it ended very awkwardly but I loved what I saw from the zombie game. A live orchestra needs to be a standard for all E3 press conferences.
