I saw an early version of GLV (Grating Light Valve) about 5 years ago @ CES and it remains, to this day, the most impressive display tech that I have actually seen with my own eyes (though the Blu-ray/SXRD demo I saw in NYC last year was close)

It's a laser based 2D hi-def video projector that creats 3 side-by-side 1920x1080 resolution images on a projection screen.

Sony bought the Grating Light Valve tech fro Silicon Light a few years ago

It uses lasers as the light source and can do variable aspect ratios and tons of other tricks...

Aww man I've been waiting for that... I love projection gaming. I own a projector and during parties and stuff we play games in the back yard on the wall. It's only limited by the size of the wall you can project on.. But that laser pro-jo would be much brighter and more lifelike.

Last week we were playing GT4 in high def about 15 foot diagonal in my buddies backyard during his party.

This is me and my nephews watching Aliens last summer, this is only about 10ft diagonal.
