I'll buy it at a high price to play on my Steam Deck then bitch about how hard it is to play handheld... and I'll love every fucking minute of it.
Are they day and date? No? Then you'll be fine.PS5 is gonna be the first playstation console with no Exclusive, thanks Jim Ryan and Hermen Hulst, amazing work.

Consoles don't exist anymore. They used to have a unique identity and a team spirit from first and even third party developers. Now they're just cheap computers in plain boring boxes. I'd say I don't even care as I'm a PC gamer myself, but I do miss the feeling of new consoles coming and bringing awesome new games. Did anyone feel hyped about this gen? Is there really anything to justify owning these consoles when all their games just come to PC anyway? Like why even bother.

It looks like Returnal may be the next PC game brought over from the PS5 by Sony's newly formed PC department. It's not too surprising though I expect several of the early games to be brought to PC, such as the Demon Souls Remake, Ratchet and Clank, and others. Some online are upset about Sony expanding their software reach, for some reason, but given how surprisingly low Returnal Sold when Sony dropped that last sales dump a long time ago, this may be what the game needs to be a bigger success by reaching more players. So if you put hate for Jim Ryan aside, this can only be a good thing for Sony and it's studios.
Returnal being on PC can also take advantage of the tech upgrade, making the game even better. I felt it was a bt limited to the hardware, and not because the PS5 wasn't capable, but because it was the teams first ambitious game and it was released early in the PS5's lifecycle. So they never had a chance to really get used to the hardware and tools, but by expanding to PC, it can only be positive for the dev studio.
I'm not big into Roguelikes, although i will def try this gameon PC. I'm really interested to se what other PC gamers think about the game though. Roguelikes are a pretty big genre on PC, and it will be interesting to see if they think this is a good roguelike. They wont be influenced by pretty graphics, and being a 'console exclusive' obviously wont be a factor in how they judge the games quality.
I thought those games were only possible on the ps5?
You regret your purchase over a year ago?
The game is amazing and RT effects will be hard to spot since the game is so dark.
Although I am interested how pc will handle the loading of new rooms and teleporting
86 whether you want to believe it or not IS high (even higher than Ghost of Tsushima which people love around here), it’s also game of the year at the BAFTA’s. It’s especially high for a new IP, that also happens to be incredibly difficult, i wouldn’t be surprised if most reviewers didnt even finish it
This was confirmed a while ago in a leaked screenshot that showed RT Reflections, Shadows and even RT lighting. None of the features that were in the PS5 version. Kinda disappointing considering I paid $70 for this fucking thing on day one, but ive learned my lesson. Will wait for these games to come to PC now.

Retardation running alive and free at GAF. There is a downside if consoles were no more and Sony lost the royalties in third party games and a lot of PS+ revenue, but you do know their first party and console R&D investments are paid for by that… c’mon."Oh No! More people are going to be able to play these games!"
Lol what? Consoles are not going away just because first party games now also become available on a completely different platform that costs about twice as much for similar results. There is a downside if consoles were no more and Sony lost the royalties in third party games and a lot of PS+ revenue, but you do know their first party and console R&D investments are paid for by that… c’mon.
It seems like until we have single generic Uber corporation made HW provider and single Uber software publisher that the trope of platforms diversity having advantages too will not cease being sacrificed at the altar of convenience today and who cares about tomorrow…
It is a question of profitability vs development, marketing, and support costs. Below a certain threshold yeah that is exactly what it means…Lol what? Just for clarity, are you trying to argue that Console games going multiplatform with PC means that consoles are going away?It is a question of profitability vs development, marketing, and support costs. Below a certain threshold yeah that is exactly what it means…
I am arguing that if Sony went day one multiplatform on other HW (PC included) with their own titles it would erode profits on their platform as they would encourage gamers to game outside of the console and those gamers would not buy PS+ anymore and would not buy games and/or DLC on PS5 thus getting Sony no royalties.Just for clarity, are you trying to argue that Console games going multiplatform with PC means that consoles are going away?
Remind why we are talking about the Series X in a thread about a PS5 "exclusive"?Remind me what big Series X games aren't available on PC..
Really doubt it. This game is supposed to run in 60fps and it's already sub 1440p.They may add an RT mode to the PS5, if these settings do appear in the final PC version.
People who play games on (High end) PC's and people who play games on Playstation consoles are not the same audience. A person who has spend double or more of the costs of a console on a capable Gaming PC is just unlikely to spend another 500$ for a gaming console he doesn't need. The rare few that will be persuaded to purchase a PS5, next to their gaming PC, will probably still purchase most of their games on PC as its much cheaper there and they might have better hardware.I am arguing that if Sony went day one multiplatform on other HW (PC included) with their own titles it would erode profits on their platform as they would encourage gamers to game outside of the console and those gamers would not buy PS+ anymore and would not buy games and/or DLC on PS5 thus getting Sony no royalties.
The more that happens the more making your own console looks like a waste of money: MS is certainly happy to get to that point and the more they can help with that the better (they never wanted to make their own HW to begin with, they can replace that revenue stream with GamePass anyways, hence why they are buying publishers and investing in GaaS too). The less profits you make from your ecosystem the less you can finance your first party titles out of what they can purely make on their own. That is just common sense… right?

I'd say most console users, PS5 owners included, don't have gaming PCs that surpass the gaming performance of a PS5. I'd even bet that most PS5 users don't even have a gaming PC.This was confirmed a while ago in a leaked screenshot that showed RT Reflections, Shadows and even RT lighting. To all the idiots crying about PS5 games not being exclusive due to the pc ports....
Can you play returnal on an Xbox? Can you play it on Switch? No? Then it's still console exclusive.
Steady - you don't want to constipate yourself.PS5 is gonna be the first playstation console with no Exclusive, thanks Jim Ryan and Hermen Hulst, amazing work.
Yes, how terrible that you paid full price for a new game that might as well be the game of the generation and you could play it on day of release instead of at least 3 years later with some minor improvements. If I was you I would never buy new games again. It’s a total rip off. /sThis was confirmed a while ago in a leaked screenshot that showed RT Reflections, Shadows and even RT lighting. Controller physically sucks itself for shooters compared to mouse+kb. No wonder the game has aim assist (bullet magnetism)+giant hit boxes and requires claw grip. And you can't don't suck on controller unless you disable aim assists and giant hit boxes.it kinda is if you don't suck playing on controller and if the controller aiming is done properly, which it is in Returnal

Wrong. I never played Returnal with a controller and never will. Too retarded aiming/tirning speeds and with buttons layout that sucks. And if the game comes with bullet magnetism that can't be turned off or that giant hitboxes on enemies, not even will play with mouse+kb.I played without aim assist, uploaded the video and posted it in another thread on here.
I played GunGame in Splitgate with aim assist off and won
and that was my first match playing for weeks, and first match playing the game on controller in general for half a year.
took a few minutes to get used to it but worked just fine after a while.
there's also people demonstrating playing Apex Legends in high ranks without Aim Assist and they basically had no issue keeping up either.
ergo, my conclusion, you suck at playing on controller.

With aim assist there is not even point in playing any shooter. Or with giant "brain dead" hit boxes.nothing you said disproofs my theory that you suck playing on controller.
I bet you do, I bet even with aim assist you wouldn't hit anything playing a modern shooter.

Eeeh seems like revisionist history…Problem with this is PC gamers aren’t ditching their PCs to play Sony exclusives. So Sony can either sell their exclusives to PC gamers or just not get those sales at all. Bean counters at Sony realized it was a good move after Sonys own devs kept asking for it.
