Yeah, I feel this way too.
I remember after 3, SSM were saying that there are other stories that could be told within the GOW universe, but I still think it'll be Kratos based. Being that he disappeared n all, just can't see them leaving him out.

If it is about GT7, then they definitely aren't leaking it given that Kaz is participating in the teasing for it. If it's linked to the new Bugatti, then aligning themselves with that is a surefire way to get a lot of attention in the automotive industry. Particularly if at the unveiling of the car they have a demo station setup for people to already drive the car ingame.

The press conference is probably not public.
TGS is before this so I doubt that.They've stated that the industry as a whole would benefit more with new titles spread throughout the year, especially at PGW, if I'm not mistaken.
Hopefully this means for JRPG reveals!
Oh believe me. I'm well aware of that. I just think they won't reveal every single title at one given event. They're obviously going to hold back on some reveals for these other events.
I bet there's a lot more overlap between E3/GC/PGW announcements than there is between E3/TGS announcements.
Its been stated hundreds of time on this site, they didn't skip Gamescom just no presser there show floor stuff was bigger then Microsoft.
Gamescom become one week closer to E3. Making trailers and all that takes time, so Sony decided since its close to E3 and they have three more press shows later in the year (gamescom was like MS last one) they decided to not have a press and save stuff for the rest of the year at TGS, PGS (which is a bit smaller in visitors then gamescom) and PSX.
Hell this will probably be PGS biggest year every just cause Sony is having a presser there, they already hit a quarter of a million visitors last year.

So happy Sony's going with evening instead of early morning or mid-day with this stuff. No need to worry about work/university getting in the way. Although I would prefer a weekend day.

Timing but this year it has to do with Halo 5 releasing on the same day that this event comes out. A nice way to give two middle fingers to MS and lower the chatter around Halo 5 to hit against the hype of MS's biggest IP. PGS almost has the same numbers as Gamescom in terms of how many people go there, so it's not like Sony is losing all that much by moving it. I'm pretty sure it's 5-6 weeks earlier than PSX is in terms of timeline.
I'm a bit annoyed I won't be able to watch this since it's while I am at work. It's around 2PM EST I believe which is unfortunate. There is a small chance I get to see this though some stars need to align in terms of timeline.
