I don't understand, why notify people they are cancelling an announcement? Were the press already briefed on what the announcements were or the number of them?

Press book appointments for unannounced games all the time.

Normally the press would just book a appointment under "unannounced action game from Sony" or something. They wouldn't be told exactly what it was but typically you can put two and two together and guess.

As for that cancelled presentation, wasn't an Uncharted 4 presentation (to the press) cancelled. I swear I read this somewhere. I think I saw a video where they showed the invite and in the description it said "invitation to the cancelled event"

edit: reading further, looks like that's not it as it was supposed to be a "new" major announcement.

Maybe Sony realized Supermassive Games is better at making QD games than QD is?

But in all seriousness if it was a QD thing delayed I'm sure they just decided to safe it for a later time where it could shine more.

I'm really hoping we have confirmation on whatever is going on with classics for the PS4. If I get that then I'll be happy regardless. I really don't want to wait until December for that news!

Would be a big bummer if it was QD. The event is in Paris, and QD HAS to be there with their new game.

Bend though, I don't even know anymore. Seems like forever we've been hearing about their game. I just hope it doesn't go the way of SSM's cancelled project.

GT6 remaster is coming.
 
You know what I want Media Molecule to allow us to do in Dreams? The ability to have us fiddle around with PlayStation Characters' models. I will be finally to animate my very own Gabe Logan vs Nathan Drake that I always to do. Oh man, I can already see Gabe tasing Nate right now.
 
I tried converting the timezone and I'm getting 2AM JP time October 28, just FYI.

I just thought of something. I can't wait to make my very own Gabe Newell. I'll even make a level where we explore his body and discover Half-Life 3 and Portal 3!

Quantic Dream, Media Molecule and Guerrilla will be there for sure.

I'm also expecting updates on Rime,Tomorrow Children and Wild (Rayman and Beyond Good&Evil creator PS4 exclusive).
An other big premiere might be Bend's new title.
I also expect GT7 to be introduced either at this event or at PSX.
 
I'd really like a release date for Rime, and I'd really like that release date to be an "It's available right now!" type of affair. I feel like I've been waiting for that game forever, and it's been dark for so long at this point. I honestly thought it would have been close to release back at E3.

Game development times have grown considerably longer this generation. Plus, it's from a small studio, I believe, so give them more time to deliver a tight product.
