Sony Playstation: First Party Studios & their Current Projects

I believe that Kojima meeting all these directors (Nicolas Winding Refn, George Miller, Peter Jackson, etc) is to help him get in contact with some of the actors they work or have worked with, like Refn and Mads Mikkelsen.

I hope he can work with ANDY SERKIS , the guy is the master of motion capture and can do 10 different roles by himself.

Some of it has got to be ego-stroking because he obviously loves filmmaking so much. I mean, if he were just looking to get in touch with actors there are more efficient ways - probably mostly involving contacting talent agencies in LA, New York or London.

What does Sony have for the rest of the year after Horizon and MLB? Uncharted: TLL and GT:Sport are a lock I think but what else? Dreams maybe? anything else?

I love the fact that we have no clue what it is. At this time previous years we knew about Horizon and that Bend was making an open world survival horror game, and I think the Bloodborne leak occurred around this time of the year. But SP nothing aside from that it's a new IP.

Yup. Actually it was pretty great for Horizon too since we only had that one or two pieces of leaked gorgeous concept art not any leaked screens.

Can't wait to see what SP are doing. I agree hopefully it stays a complete surprise.

Other than those Hot Shots and Knack 2. Detroit I think is possible

Once we get closer to E3 I might stay off gaf until after the conference ends. I never came to gaf until late 2015 and never saw the leaked concept art for Horizon so that came as a complete surprise to me and it was so awesome. Same with Bloodborne. I want that to happen again with Sucker Punch

What does this comment even mean?!

Kojima is known to do a lot of things on company dime to get idea's after a game is announced and revealed. They have an engine, have shown 2 trailers and have gone through different actors that they want in the game currently.

At some point you have to be like, "let's start hammering out a vertical slice to show to higher ups, or a mockup gameplay wise". If they are still researching techniques at this stage, then they are not ready to even start full production. Unless the approach to Death Stranding is similar to Hellblade where it's a very small concentrated team being experimental in how they get certain aspects done like mo-cap.

The Project Beast leak was the most hype thing to ever hit GAF.

Yeah. Not a bad idea if you want to maximize the chances of being fully surprised hehe.

"How sure are we that it's not coming to PC?"

So far Sony seems to have given into Kojima's every demand. At some point someone from production side of Sony will have to tell Kohima that he can't do something he wants to do due to budget.

Motion cap wrap-up party for Detroit? (Valorie is likely Valorie Curry, the main actress)

@QUANTIC_DREAM: Celebrating something tonight. Guess what?

I'm actually really interested in Detroit despite having mixed thoughts on the other Quantic Dream games. They are definitly flawed but not many others are making games of their fidelity and scope and style in the business and I hope they learned some valuable lessons from their last couple games going into Detroit. It certainly looks like they've made some needed changes and stream lined other portions of their gameplay idea. I hope the best for them as I love cinematic games with lots of choices.

Valorie Curry (born February 12, 1986)

Since she is head of the table (and the balloon), probably her birthday two days earlier.

Also Malicious Fallen is out soon, published by Sony.
Malicious Fallen confused the hell out of me. In NA, you can read "MALICIOUS is a trademark of ALVION Inc."
In Europe, they say "Malicious is a trademark or a registered trademark of Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe."

Sounded like Malicious Fallen is a Sony IP. But ALVION Inc. owns it actually.

LOL@ everyone expecting gold master without any kind of hype buildup, right in the middle of other top tier releases. You totally expect this game to be stealth released? Get back to earth!

I hope Detroit isn't too far off. Soooo excited for that game. Yeah Beyond was mediocre, but the time for redemption is nigh. This will be QD's comeback.

Connor's storyline looks like the closest thing we're getting to a new LA Noire game in terms of gameplay. Can't wait.

If Spider-Man had even the slightest chance of hitting 2017 they would have announced so already and just delayed it.

That shit is still far off. Late next year or something. I would be very pleasantly surprised if it hit before summer.

Thing is they never said it was 2017 in the original reveal period so anyone expecting 2017 is smoking something unless they have something to show at E3 2017.

Even then it's still a spring 2018 game, unless it's aiming for a release in the late fall.

Yeah Spider-Man is a fall 2018 game imo. I know they've been purposely avoiding the fall this gen, but that's a game I think will do well there

Spidey got a 90 second trailer and nothing else shown behind closed doors. No idea why anyone expects it earlier than God of War and Days Gone
