Which means the game isn't that far advanced in development. What was Sucker Punch doing all this time?

3 years is not that long. SP is not a big team like ND or GG, so prototyping different ideas and get the game running gonna take time.
But shu Yoshida has actually played it which means it's way past prototype phase and that was sometime early last year.
I would love for the SP title to show up this E3, but won't be surprised either way if it does or does not. It is a new IP after all, there can be some issues or things can take longer when you're trying to establish something new.
Also, I really want them to have a decent amount time for development rather than rush out a title again. I liked Second Son, but it did suffer due to needing to be out near the PS4's launch.
Ok Kaz Gif time!!

You're missing some pretty important stuff, and also disregarding that if Sony sticks to their plan (no reason not to), the PS5 will likely be announced Q1 2019 for a November 2019 release.
With that in mind, I find the following possible calendar to be more likely imo
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy - June-August 2017
Knack 2 - July-September 2017
Spiderman - July-September 2017
Gran Turismo Sport - October 2017
Dreams - November / December 2017
God of War - December 2017
From Software next/Bloodborne 2 - February 2018
Days Gone - March 2018
WilD - May/ June 2018
Detroit - September 2018
FF7R - November / December 2018
Sucker Punch New IP - March 2019 (at the latest, I could also see a late 2018 if Sony was very confident and if ready)
Death Stranding - April 2019
The Last of Us 2 - May/ June 2019
I really hope that sony doesn't release a new playstation so soon. Who the fuck wants the 2.5 years of no games that releasing a new console brings?
Well, if PS5 releases at the end of 2019 then Horizon 2, new Toyama game, God of War 5, Days Gone 2, and maybe a new Naughty Dog IP will likely be ready within the first year or soI really hope that sony doesn't release a new playstation so soon. I don't think that will happen again, they seem to be getting all their ducks lined up. Their production schedule is recovering from the gaps left by the Santa Monica cancellations and from Bend's slow transistion.

Looks reasonable, yes. Btw, Sony also has the following games in their pipelines:
-Detroid: Become Human by Quantic Dreams
-Dreams by Media Molecule.
Shoutout to days gone new ip, 6mil views

People are seriously overestimating Scorpio's impact. I remember all the so called momentum the XB1 slim had which lasted what 2-3 months before PS4 continued business as usual and in February PS4 outsold it by close to 200K units in the US. Throwing a bunch of games in Q4 just to counter whatever short momentum Scorpio will have is a waste.
Realized this when I saw someone say they'd be surprised if Sony won E3 this year.
They're gonna have a walk-off victory. Microsoft would have to have made the deal of the century with the devil to pull the curtains back on enough software just this year to make Scorpio matter much comparatively.
Which is a shame because it should be about how well MS is doing within their own sphere. The notion that MS can do something to suddenly put the X1 on par with (or even exceed) the PS4 is silly. That train left a long time ago and it could be argued there was never a train to begin with.People are seriously overestimating Scorpio's impact. There is a reason they moved their conference to the weekend and it isn't confidence.
But you wonder if one of their reasons was because of time? They usually go before sony, so they are pressed for time in getting their conference done.
I think we shouldn't make those assumptions to be honest. I mean software wise I agree because we've had people like SHinobi even mention not to expect much in terms of new software announcements.
But never count people out. I will agree though this year depending on what Sony has left for releases in 2017, there's no one really able to compete on their level this year.
And if they do a presentation similar to last year's with just showing game after game even if it's extended gameplay from games we've seen it will be hard to top.
Time has nothing to do with it. The last 2 years they've had good conferences (well, last year not so much) but no one talked about them because Sony's were so much better. This way there will be more time where they are the talk of E3But you wonder if one of their reasons was because of time? Going before Sony doesn't press them for time. Going before Sony makes it easier for Sony's typical barrage of announcements to drown out Microsoft's. This way, they stand to maybe get more time in the news cycle without sharing the limelight.
Last year was really bad i barely remember anything from the Microsoft conference outside of the FFXV fail,Scorpio and We Happy Few.
The only first party game that impressed me last year was Forza Horizon 3 and I don't even like racing games lolLast year was really bad i barely remember anything from the Microsoft conference outside of the FFXV fail,Scorpio and We Happy Few.

Anyway I expect their show to please Xbox fans this year. What I don't know is if anyone else will give a shit
Yep. I mean, I expect the Scorpio to be a great piece of hardware, but not some game changer. Regarding the games, the only 2 I'm currently excited to see at their show are Shadow of War and Assassins Creed. Multiplatform games. That says all there is to say about their exclusive lineupSeeing as we've only heard tweets from certain xbox entertainers, and a few fans about Scorpio and no leaked third party partners talking about how great it is I would say your right.
If by next week after the dust has settled on DF look at scorpio's hardware we don't here anything from anyone developer wise, you know it's a possibility MS might be in trouble this E3.
SureDoes anyone believe we might see the resurrection of Silent Hills at E3? The reaction to P.T. was phenomenal and Konami must surely have recognized that before the strife with Hideo Kojima. There was a wild rumour in 2015, denied by Phil Spencer, that Microsoft had secured a deal with the title, but I'd like to think Sony would make a stronger offer. Sony appear to be cutting back on smaller timed exclusive deals recently, in order to finance the next wave of blockbuster third-party deals?
