Sony Playstation: First Party Studios & their Current Projects

Ok. That Lost Souls game looks pretty good. Amazing that one guy is making it.

Sony should definitely help out with the technical stuff though.

Why would that be on Sony's conference i doubt that would be exclusive even though it originally started off as exclusive to Playstation platforms it's now staying multiplat
You are saying this about a game from the same developer that made Street Fighter V of all things a console exclusive to Sony. Also, a game doesn't have to be exclusive to show up at Sony's conference. RE7, another game from the same developer, that wasn't exclusive, was at the Sony conference last E3.

SF has sold over 20+ million. DMC is no where close to that. The two biggest Capcom franchises are SF and RE.

It does not matter how much SF sold in the past we are talking about now.
DMC and SF are fairly close if we go by there last 2 games.
Also Capcom two biggest IPs are MH and RE not SF .

Depends on your definition of "much" I suppose, (also the non-real DMC was the third best selling one, LOL)

Was going by there last 2 games sales .
Non real DMC hurt the series IMO.
It's amazing the IP was growing with DMC4 selling the best and then capcom reboot it .......

Did you even read the comment I was replying to? But I will bite, before SFV's disaster launch, SF is Capcom top franchise. SF IV sold 8.763 million copies. Just because they launched a half-baked and underperformed entry doesn't take away the value of the brand.

Edit: I see you want to include only the last 2 game sales. DMC 3 and 4 sold barely 4 million, while SF4 alone doubled that.

I'm just assuming that whoever is in charge at Capcom has a dart board with 4 names on it. 30% of the board is filled with Sony exclusive. 30% is filled with Nintendo. 30% is filled with Microsoft. 10% is filled with self published. Whatever he hits happens to the game.

Lmao

SFIV sold that much with 4 different versions\games .
With each version sales not as good as the first SFIV .

Can someone elaborate to me why so many posters in the other Sony thread seem to know some of the games Sony will show at E3? Was there a leak that I don't know about?

Now you are just moving goalpost.

No i am not capcom list them as separated games for a reason .
It also shows you decline in the IP .
The way you have it would look like SFIV sold 8 million and then SFV sold 1.6 million losing 80% in sales.
Just look at farisr data to showing there were hurting the brand with so many version of SFIV .

Any way this way off topic so best we take this to PM or leave it .

What is with you always trying to find something on Sony to complain about lol and most of the time it has no base like this. What exactly has leaked?

Nothing leak to us, but we got mod nudge nudge wink wink this early, I fear it will leak eventually.
I want no leak, not even "get hype" kind of suggestion.
Also, I find things to complain on Sony because I'm a fan and Sony is not perfect.

What's wrong with focus on service games? Are you saying people who like Ghost Recon are not gamers?
So Spencer decided he focus on majority part of gamers mean he not delivering on doing right to gamers?
He just doing it in different way.
Instead of pleasing gamer like gaf member, he choose to please gamer of all kind, on macro level.
Instead of making individual games to cater different taste, he create a better environment for all kind of gamer.
Better hardware, better service, game refund, game pass, BC, innovate and support new business model etc, not just multiplayer lover or single player lover, it benefit everyone.

Spencer have been delivering at all front and to you biggest complaint, Microsoft studio have been releasing games at the pace they always been since Xbox one launch, whether or not he's delivery on that front depend on individual taste.

^Copied from the other Sony thread that's going on.

If you're a fan and believe Sony isn't perfect and hence you complain, why can't you do the same for Microsoft, instead of defending it with all of your might and honour?

I'd say you are secretly an Xbox fanboy and are just parading around Sony threads, pretending to be a fan. But then again, I could be wrong so I won't accuse anyone of anything.

Have a great day.

Unless I'm forgetting something wouldn't it be still too soon for Rocksteady to show up? They only finished Arkham VR in September last year and are moving on from Arkham with their next game so I assume that will mean their next project will take longer than previous ones. I think their next project is still years away and so won't be at E3.

Is Arkham VR a full scale project? I have no idea about that? You might be right.

Looking at the credits and the way they spoke about how Rocksteady themselves were working on it it seems at least a huge amount/most of the studio worked on it. It was just obviously a much shorter development cycle since it was a short experience. Regardless I think it indicates their next project couldn't really have gone into full production until mid-late 2016, though I don't doubt they had some staff working on pre-production for it before that.
