Exactly. Not to mention that even if they aren't intended to be seen, the fact that they're present necessitates a stricter age rating. Remember the Hot Coffee incident in GTA: San Andreas?

There's male frontal nudity in GTA V and it got an M rating. I really don't know why woman parts would be any more offensive. So an artist went the extra mile, took some creative license, and made Ellen Page not a Barbie doll down there. Respect.

Yes Cage decides everything in a 3.5 year 200 men production. He goes to every single developer and tells them what to do. It's not like there are 2 producers under him and a lead character artist leading his department responsible for the base character modelling.

If anything, this is likely the fault of a single poor modeller who used a basic body template, adjusted her breast size for the fashion designers and then forgot to edit the nipples out. Probably somewhere down the list of much more important things to do before the gold deadline. A shame that it happened, but to put the blame exclusively on Cage is hilarious.

If Page cares, she can sue. I doubt she will though, because she is pretty cool and doesn't care much about anything.

She did get naked multiple times for films (e.g. bathing scene in The East), although there is no nude scene yet apart from 1-2 seconds in one of her earlier movies where you can see her things very briefly.

Beyond actually shows the most of her on a consistent basis, even in the retail shower scenes (constant side boob). Since she signed that off, I don't think she is too bothered by her digital representation. A slight annoyance for sure, but I don't think it will hurt her in any way. In 2 weeks it will be forgotten anyway and I doubt she is gonna sue Sony. She doesn't really care about these things when you watch some of her interviews. PR, reviews, sales and money is not something she is very interested in. She works on anything that interests her, big or small and after she finishes it she moves on. She is also moving away from acting a bit and starts producing soon and maybe later even directing.

To PR and marketing? Very important yes.

To the developers? Eh, I don't think she is that important in the whole development process. It's just a face like any other. I don't think the devs treated her in any special way. She already said in an interview that she was at the bottom of the list of people to satisfy on Beyond and she can understand why. She didn't had much influence over anything. But because of that and the huge amount of work she already said it would take a very special game for her to ever make another one. So this was pretty much an one-off anyway.

Funny thing is that it is possibly someone internally as it was done on a dev kit and from dev code from the looks of it.

You know, it could be possible that all of the possible camera angles were available for all scenes in the game initially to see what the best angle was for a particular scene and so that every single background and detail in the game's scenery was clear of bugs and glitches that could break the game. That's why they are called "de-BUG" systems, after all. Have to remember what it takes to actually MAKE a game, and how one wrong move can break everything.

Let's ask how many other scenes that they had camera angles that they didn't use but used for debug to make sure that the game was clear of as many of these bugs and glitches as possible. That might put this into perspective.

Honestly, I don't see the big deal behind it because it was never able to be accessed through the final product, and this was just a leak. Not sure what's in it for Sony to censor the mere discussion of the topic (remember that Rule 34 exists), because it will happen regardless.

And it's not like no one can ever handle a female being naked in a game without either wanting to fap or wanting to condemn everyone even remotely responsible for even having the thought of adding it! Perhaps a female can be respectfully naked and NOT have either of those reactions. But maybe that would be too much to ask seeing how gamers have become so conservative about stuff like that that we can't have any meaningful compromise or even a discussion that doesn't involve name calling, grudge holding, or other things. I've played Heavy Rain, seen the nudity, and I wasn't even the slightest bit bothered by it because it's a part of the nature of things: men and women are going to be naked. It's not like we've never seen a naked body before.

I can see where some people in this discussion are coming from here given the particular scene, but still, I can see this degrading into mindless name calling and shaming like every other discussion about stuff like this.
