I was wondering what Sony London are doing as the team is huge, but then I can't remember the last hardcore game London has made.
Just been looking up MS studios. It got me thinking, what are MS Victoria working on? We've barely heard a thing about that studio. We know Black Tusk is supposed to be working on the next Halo (but apparently they've got multiple teams 343i/Rare style.
For 2015, I'm thinking we might see Crackdown 3, State of Decay 2, Fable Legends and whatever MS Victoria is working on and Black Tusk's game. I also see MS continue the idea of piecing out their franchises to 3rd party studios to carry out the development. Would definitely like to see another Halo Wars.

We all know Sony has been delivering lately. For the next gen, are they expanding? Meaning are they opening or buying new studios?
Not really. Their existing studios are becoming big enough and successful enough to have more teams though.

With CBOAT's reveal that Big Park's game got cancelled/now working on TV stuff, alongside Xbox Fitness which is probably developed by Kids & Lifestyle, I'm kinda concerned that MS's Kinect-studios may very well have been retooled into doing non-games services altogether.
Victoria & Osaka are complete 'pindrop silence' in terms of the kind of stuff they're working on, or even the type of talent they're having. Considering that they're established later than Black Tusk ( which was Vancouver Studio rebranded ), they're probably 2015, or even 2016 in the worst case.
As for Black Tusk, I highly doubt they've got multiple teams. Before their unveiling as Black Tusk, last we heard was that a lot of employees got laid off which killed off some of their Kinect projects.

However, Naughty Dog is at a relatively healthy hiring spree, though not at a massive scale. ( 20+ openings available ). Balrog at SSM is also hinting that massive expansion is going to happen eventually once he gets his idea rolling.

They are expanding but not the way you think they are. Sony's modus operandi when it comes to expansion is to expand their successful studios with additional teams and buy successful second party studios they've partnered with.
Alongside the new Guerrilla, Media Molecule and Sony Santa Monica teams that we've no clue what they're working on aside from a couple of rumours (Guerrilla working on a RPG for instance), they recently created a third major team within Sony Santa Monica led by Cory Barlog (God of War 2).
They're also working with a lot of independent developers on games like Rime, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, etc. If these partnerships go well then they'll likely continue to work together in the future and Sony will possibly buy them out at some point.

One argument I've heard as of late offline is that Sony's games don't sell. I know IGN did a piece on some of Sony's games not selling, but on the whole they probably had more million plus sellers than MS. Regardless, they make quite a few good selling franchises and I feel safer investing with them at the moment.

List needs more Dennaton Games = Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number which will be a timed exclusive for PS4 (though their wiki doesn't even list Xbox One, PS3 or 360 for some reason...)

Because everyone knows Nintendo's line up is different enough. The whole point of this comparison is because Xbox One and PS4 have similar library of games with all the multiplatform games, so this was a way to see what exclusives each system has to make each other different. Also I'm too lazy to add Nintendo.
You should probably add State of decay,screamride, smite and neverwinter 2015 to the upcoming xbox games.

Ehh i count about 8 retail/downloadable games missing that are xbox/pc
...and quality too.
Bloodborne alone has no match on the list... and if I add Uncharted and Persona, well... no contest really.

The thread title is confusing me actually, because it says first party games, but then you have Sunset Overdrive listed and a couple others.

MCC is a remastered... I didn't want to do it, but if you compare remasters, well, The Last of Us win (not "easily", OK)... and Gears, well... the game hasn't been announced yet and that saga it's on a bad curve... last two games are mediocre. And if you want to mention announced games, well... The Last of Us 2 is the end of the discussion.
Let's talk about quality after the game is out, mkay?

Also your facts are skewed, Gears 3 is considered by many as the best of the trilogy and I would argue a lot of people who prefer the MCC over tLoU. Hell I do, and I think tLoU is one of the best games ever made. So I don't know how it "wins easily". According to you? That's your opinion, that's fair. Others might think otherwise, which is fair as well.
I'm not arguing all these games aren't amazing but how can you argue that people have different opinions.
