In my opinion Sony's first party stuff has always been largely mediocre outside of MLB The Show (which isn't listed in OP for some reason), God of War, Uncharted and Gran Turismo. Those are pretty much the only Sony IP that do anything for me. Oh, and Ratchet and Clank before it went downhill.

Why are you congratulating MS in this regard? Most of the games that are console exclusive or even XB1 exclusive were developed by independent studios or were published by EA
Titanfall? Horizon 2? Sunset?

I'm not sure how involved scej is but it seems they might be having a slightly bigger role this time to help with technical things. For Demon's, FROM had very little input from scej.

This sort of assistance happens all the time on third party exclusives. That doesn't alter the fact that they're third party games. I doubt Japan Studio is doing the heavy lifting here.

What's the point of this thread? No innovation from Sony? The studios that made those games weren't known for innovation. It should get better as more studios fully switch to PS4. It's all about preference. I don't know what must have titles are on Xbox One. Still nothing that would convince me to invest in that console over 360.

See the problem is, for the past couple months now, the hype train of big Sony games has also doubled as the unrealistic expectations train. They (the people) want more than deb's can give, and then get disappointed. Trailers showing things while a game is still in development showed one thing, final product another..
Its really no different from a movie trailer showing a scene that is not in the trailer when it comes out. Yeah it wasn't there but the movie was still great.
Nintendo have been fantastic. MS at least have Forza and probably SO as pretty good games. Not too controversial of a statement.

Seems like something that happens every gen. The overall quality of first party stuff improves the further into a gen you get (not to mention the amount of games per year).
I actually feel like there is more stuff than usual for being so early in the gen with a good clip of quality 3rd party stuff almost right from the beginning. The end of this year has a bunch of releases to look forward to imo.
I also have to say that The Order looks promising and there is a bunch of stuff expected to hit next year.

I think all the games have been fine. Nothing super spectacular yet, but all worthwhile games.

Don't worry. I still laugh myself silly when I look at Ryse's metacritic score.
Forza Motorsport 5 also dropped from a 81 metacritic average to a 79 in the last month... Somehow. So on the bright side, DriveClub is on par with my favorite Racing Simulator.
Well it's a good thing I'm not good at my non-existent job. Now I don't have to worry about getting a pay raise.

I played titanfall on 360 and was happy with it. Horizon 2? I didn't like the first one. And how do you know that Sunset is good? Have you played it yet? It seems like everything you have are just perceptions. Do you even own a console?
Yeah, its quite big in Japan and South Korea. Pretty dead in Europe mind you.
I have all Sony consoles PS2-PS4 hooked up, if anything my concern is as genuine as it gets :/
