When I was in law school, we had a judge come give a lecture one time. He talked about exactly such a case. The accused had thumbnails of underaged cartoons in his temp files, was found guilty of possession of child pornography, and it pretty much ruined his life.

They don't need a warrant at the border. At least, the TSA definitely would not.
