The less I spend on this speaker choice, the better.
I need my music, but I also need money for the trip.

I'm considering buying some Logitech computer speakers so I have some bump in the room while I'm there for the beach, etc. Then, I could bring them home and use them on my other gaming/productivity machine. My girlfriend and I like to dance and listen to music rather loud at home, so I trust we're going to be doing the same in our room in South Padre. The target choices of music are dance, country, and ambient downtempo.

Do you have a favorite set you can reccomend? Does one set you know of have more bass and a cleaner sound than other choices on the market?

The set I'm considering:

is beloved, despite what anyone might say
I have a Klipsch 2.1 setup, and it works pretty nice. Klipsch, from what I hear, is the computer speaker standard. The Logitech brand speakers are a bit cheaper but also works fairly nicely, based on a few people I know who have Logitech. Got it a few years ago. But what I can say is curious choice of music... dance and ambient downtempo (that's what I listen to of course).. with country? I don't think I've ever met anybody who likes both electronic music and country, they seem like total opposites to me (but word up diversity in music) :p

(native accent) I'm from Texas, boy. (fakes proper British accent) Ah, Ye-Haw.

All of my raver friends, which we call the Goon Squad are Texas natives. We love where we're from, love the sunshine, and love music that has positive energy in many forms. There's that certain something I look for in my favorite music, and I suppose I experience catharsis from several genres with electronic being my favorite. Nothing moves me like good house music. I've heard a house version of Robert Miles' Children once (plus substance) that made me so happy I felt like I was going to implode, but only Country music can make me so happy that I want to cry. It's all relative to cathecting something.

One entry found for cathect.
Main Entry: ca·thect
Pronunciation: k&-'thekt, ka-
Function: transitive verb
Etymology: back-formation from cathectic
: to invest with mental or emotional energy

Klipsch are awesome, and I've enjoyed their ProMedias since the company's IPO prox five or six years ago. I can't do without them.
