I half-expect that Cartman's going to do really well, then on the last lap find out he's made tons of money, cancelling out his "poor" status and making him crash & burn.

Thought it was a pretty weak episode. 2.5 Men and NASCAR are pretty low hanging fruit as far as jokes go. But South Park is really just 3 or 4 good episodes a season at this point, so my expectations were low going in.

Got much better by the end. It was mostly the shit that Cartman and Butters were saying that was getting me — oh, and the Vagisil guy. :lol

Wow, new season already. It's showing in Canada on Friday.

Sadly, we have no way of seeing it in HD. (Fuck CTV, for endlessly dragging their heels on rolling-out even their most basic cable channels in HD. (Aside from sports, obviously.) Well, fuck them for many reasons, but that's one of them.)

Cartman's voice has changed over the years. It's more like the original stan voice now.

It really picked up in the second half.

When Butters and Cartman tricked the driver to get into his car, the first thing I thought was, "They don't do standing starts in NASCAR..." <_< Haven't finished it yet, but it's a decent episode so far. And yeah, whomever asked if the Vlog thing was a reference to a youtube video, there was a guy who did something similar (ranted about a whole bunch of shit while trying out different chews, lol).

Overall, I have a very mixed feelings. I quite liked it but it was dumb as hell and overall quite shitty. Something like the Crippled Summer which, while funny, the level of humor was very very low.
Jersey Shore episode might be interesting.

Maybe its because we dont get nascar over here so its not a tired cliche but i thought the episode was fucking hilarious, i was in tears at the press conference and at the end where Cartman was killing other drivers :lol

Another person pretty meh on the episode. Usually the first episode of a season and the first episode of the second half are great, so I set my expectations high.

Ah southpark must be back, most of gaf hates the episodes i love :D, perhaps its a cultural thing.

So from my point of view i hope this season sucks for most of you

I kinda liked it. Really dumb, brutal, lots of unnecessary swearing and that completly random vagisil-guy - good old SP. Just not good enough to be really memorable.

Weren't a few other comedies making fun of it recently? I think Family Guy and another show. Obviously that's not a bad thing, but I'm wondering why it has this "stupid show" status, I think it's quite entertaining. (though the earlier seasons were much better, especially with the weekly hot chick. I miss Kandi...)

I didn't like this sp episode, I only laughed a bit at the "slapstick" stuff. Oh and I think Nascar is probably the most boring race ever.

I thought Kandi or h/e you spell her name was annoying and not that good looking. Now this new blonde milf Alan is banging. Best woman the show has had. Fine piece of ass for someone her age.

True, though that milf was obviously hotter in other shows when she was younger.
But her character is just not nearly as funny as Kandi's, she's so stupid it's cute!

I thought it was a hilarious episode. Cartman's youtube video was gold.

Also, they were making fun of 2 and a half men because it is a laugh track mess. It prompts you when to laugh.

Wait, if you're talking about the camp half of the ep, Crippled Summer was hilarioius. It was pure fanservice for Looney Tunes fans. :lol

While I agree the level of humor in this episode was low hanging fruit (really, REALLY low hanging fruit), the sheer absurdity of it was entertaining, the dialogue was hilarious, and really, an absurd episode like this is good to get the crew back into their groove after a hiatus.

Plus, this ep had a modest amount of Kenny, which is always welcome :D

Just watched it on SPS and found it pretty enjoyable. Not the best episode ever but far from the worse. Then again I'm surrounded by the people it's emulating all the time so some of the parodies were pretty easy to relate to. :lol

I was always confused over NASCAR. The track is an oval. Every car is an identical crappy model totally unsuited to racing except for the engine. In GRID and DIRT games I was confused as to what the challenge was supposed to be. Easiest races ever. Floor it on straight, gently rising curve left, floor it, another curve, try not to spin out, finish! I kept thinking I must have missed something or broken the game.
