As someone who watched the second tower fall, (not on TV, from my vantage point in New Jersey) it was almost too much. Almost. I didn't laugh, but I did say, "wow".
Thank goodness for Randy's delivery of that line at the end of the episode. It was a great way to end it and it was almost like Matt and Trey knew they had to go out on a really good note. I laughed hard. So to them I say, well done.

Do you mean the TV show cast or the locals?DrForester said:So... any responses from the Jersey Shore folks?
shadowsdarknes said:I just didn't think it was a great episode, neither did I think the Nascar one was good, either.
I'm a huge South Park fan, btw. But I felt like they've been trying too hard to insult the group they were aiming to make fun of.
shadowsdarknes said:I'm also assuming that whole cabbage thing was just made up. At least, I've never heard it said once in my life lol.
I'm not saying the episode wasn't enjoyable to watch, but I don't think this season has been as clever as I've expected South Park to be.
This along with the ending of 201 with Tom Cruise are my favorite surprise endings :lolBobDylan said:Best part is the end. Randy kissin him on the cheeks was perfect and then he backs away. He gets shot "we got em!"
Couldn't ask for much more

TheDrizzlerJ11 said:The majority of this episode was satirical, the 9-11 shit was the ending.
You come off as bragging about finding 9-11 funny a couple years later when it is insanely fresh and the war is just beginning.. You want us to tell you how edgey and advanced you are in over the top humor compared to us?
So basically,

That joke is eerily similar to a Gilbert Godfrey joke I heard on Raw Dog, but without the 9/11 stuff. I'll see if I can find it somewhere.AlternativeUlster said:No, I am saying the writing is lazy and 9-11 humor is pretty much broad and easy humor to me and hell, in the Aristocrats one of the only funny segments of that film was South Park's 9-11 sketch and that was 5 years ago:

SolidusDave said:btw, when Randy randomly called that Japanese minister or something, I really thought they would now show how Japan is being overrun by Ganguro people and that's why they can't help Southpark right now.
VALIS said:This episode reminded me why I stopped watching South Park years ago.
Over-exaggeration of people or events currently in the news + the boys/the town bands together to try and stop or exploit it = HA.
There are always a few good jokes every episode but I can't imagine watching SP on a regular basis. Once you know what the subject is going to be you know almost every joke that's gonna happen.
I have to disagree with you there. South Park is famous for being invaded by people who have issues(think about the homeless episode, among a few others). It's a similar concept but not a remake in any sense of the word.JDSN said:Its a remake of the hippie episode, but Osama made it great.
