Best part is the end. Randy kissin him on the cheeks was perfect and then he backs away. He gets shot "we got em!"
Couldn't ask for much more

I think I was in a state of shock after I saw the planes and then the explosion. I kept thinking to myself, did they really just do what I think they did? As someone who watched the second tower fall, (not on TV, from my vantage point in New Jersey) it was almost too much. Almost. I didn't laugh, but I did say, "wow".

Thank goodness for Randy's delivery of that line at the end of the episode. It was a great way to end it and it was almost like Matt and Trey knew they had to go out on a really good note. I laughed hard. So to them I say, well done.

Amazing episode. I can't remember the last time I laughed so often watching South Park. I've never seen a Jersey Shore/Housewives episode, and they don't show it in my country, but the internet has taught me enough about it to get most of the references.

- The diner at the beginning of the ep is surreal. (and a direct parody of a Housewives clip)
- Shela walking in the hairdresser and one-upping the women was great!
- The pics of Shela's past :lol
- Randy going karate on the Jersey guy was great
- The way Snookie is portrayed is just amazing! :lol
- The planes crashing while randy is screaming "yay al qaida, give 'em hell!" was just, wow. Damn offensive, but it definitely worked. Jesus :lol

The whole ep was great. Classic Cartman being his dick self, crying when he gets slapped by Kyle, and the whole "Keeeeenny" thing is obviously becoming a running gag.

:lol Apparently that avatar I made of Cartman getting raped by Snooki offended someone at Photobucket, so I just reuploaded it, fuck em.

So... any responses from the Jersey Shore folks?
Do you mean the TV show cast or the locals?
I'm actually from the shore. I've driven past the Jersey Shore house quiet a few times.
I can definitely take a good joke about where I live and I do catch a lot of flack out here in Pennsylvania where I go to school.

I just didn't think it was a great episode, neither did I think the Nascar one was good, either.
I'm a huge South Park fan, btw. But I felt like they've been trying too hard to insult the group they were aiming to make fun of.

I feel like the whole "x" group is spreading and keeps getting more power/influence has been done quite a bit in South Park. Metrosexuals/crab people, homeless people, Jersey folk, and more I'm sure. I just didn't think it was all that clever really.

I'm also assuming that whole cabbage thing was just made up. At least, I've never heard it said once in my life lol.
I'm not saying the episode wasn't enjoyable to watch, but I don't think this season has been as clever as I've expected South Park to be.

yeah, the SP approach kinda fails if everyone already make fun of it anyway.

Wasn't the cabbage thing some sort of distortion on "you're garbage!" ?

This along with the ending of 201 with Tom Cruise are my favorite surprise endings :lol

Seriously, what an awesome ep, I love the absurdity of the Randy-centric eps, and Al-Quaeda's involvement was just pure gold.

btw, when Randy randomly called that Japanese minister or something, I really thought they would now show how Japan is being overrun by Ganguro people and that's why they can't help Southpark right now.

The majority of this episode was satirical, the 9-11 shit was the ending.

You come off as bragging about finding 9-11 funny a couple years later when it is insanely fresh and the war is just beginning.. You want us to tell you how edgey and advanced you are in over the top humor compared to us?

So basically,

No, I am saying the writing is lazy and 9-11 humor is pretty much broad and easy humor to me and hell, in the Aristocrats one of the only funny segments of that film was South Park's 9-11 sketch and that was 5 years ago:

What happened to the episodes labelled '200' and '201' on southparkstudios.com?

They were pulled by Comedy Central after Matt and Trey got death threats from some Muslims.

That joke is eerily similar to a Gilbert Godfrey joke I heard on Raw Dog, but without the 9/11 stuff. I'll see if I can find it somewhere.

Edit: It turns out it from the Aristocrats also :lol

I thought it was one of the best episodes and I'm not even familiar with the show they are parodying. Although they hit the nail on the head with people from Jersey, just didn't know the people by name.

They try to make jokes the majority of views will understand.

This episode reminded me why I stopped watching South Park years ago.

Over-exaggeration of people or events currently in the news + the boys/the town bands together to try and stop or exploit it = HA.

There are always a few good jokes every episode but I can't imagine watching SP on a regular basis. Once you know what the subject is going to be you know almost every joke that's gonna happen.

I thought it was fucking terrible personally :/ but then we dont get Jersey Shore over here so i have literally no idea what the hell was going on half the time and who they were referencing.

You knew that the town was going to be saved by Osama crashing planes into a mob of people from New Jersey? Props dude.

I thought these last two Eps were pretty funny. Though I couldn't laugh when I saw the jets, I just thought "in a couple days, once word gets out, they're going to get shit". I'm actually a little surprised they didn't already, but then again it usually takes at least 2-3 days for the other segments of the media world to catch on. Them capping Osama at the end was their safety net though.

Its a remake of the hippie episode, but Osama made it great.
I have to disagree with you there. South Park is famous for being invaded by people who have issues(think about the homeless episode, among a few others). It's a similar concept but not a remake in any sense of the word.

So I've actually watched two episodes of Jersey Shore now. Holy shit! It's like a car crash... You don't want to but you have to look!

I tried to look, it hurt my brain too much. I watched about 10 minutes of the very first episode of Jersey Shore....i couldnt take anymore of it.

I think 9/11 has been transformed into an appropriate comedic topic the day commemorative plates and coins of the twin towers came out, and every xenophobic impulse got wrapped in the image of them burning. Osama has become the bogey man under your bed used to excuse every transgression against you. It's status needs to be deflated.

Nothing sums it up better than during the GOP 2004 convention in NYC when convention goers complained about how Manhattanites didn't 'get' 9/11.

The realistic smoke on those plane crashing make the joke even worse/better.

And The Situation holding up his shirt to show his abs while getting beat :lol
