South Park: Season 27 Teaser

I'm honestly fucking amazed they survived this far in the current climate lmao, good for them

I was rewatching some of the much older stuff at the weekend with my nephew and no fucking way would that shit fly nowadays, lmao

There's no way they wouldn't take the piss out of the current nonsense that's going on, especially the looming threat against Canada

Sadly I think a lot of people will be accusing it of going woke.

Trey and Matt don't give a shit.

I'm always excited for a new season of South Park. The newer seasons can be hit or miss, but even the bad episodes I still enjoy.

I'd really love to see a return to classic form with the inconsequential stories that don't hinge on current events. Like Asspen, Fishsticks, Casa Bonita, etc.

I was going to say I doubt it will be accused of going woke but there are some loud voices who need to recalibrate their woke-dar and some of them probably will try to generate some controversy/views. Some of the Trump/Musk stuff has ranged from a bit dumb to idiotic (and I say that as someone who generally supports what they're trying to do). Making fun of that should be fair game.

They can't even invite Musk to a dinner without him making a scene. I mean, look at his facial expression here. He must have been tripping balls and was deep in some k-hole, right?

Looks nice to me. I hope they keep the tradition of shooting down the middle. Personally I liked the series better when each episode was mostly it's own thing, but it's still solid.

Still prefer the low stakes South Park episodes over those high stakes/epic music/big explosions episodes.

Why is anyone accuse it of being woke from that trailer? I wouldn't accuse them of that ever. Literally everyone and everything is fair game to them.

Did I miss something in the trailer?

Great news! I was fifteen when South Park first aired back in 1997, how time flies when you're having fun. Randy Marsh always brings me to tears. 🤣

Looks fun, will definitely check it out.
While I do think the older material is better, South Park is probably the only of these long running animated comedy shows that has actually managed to continue being pretty good (unlike The Simpsons or Family Guy)

Yeah I don't get it either.
South Park is one of the few shows that truly does make fun of all sides

Are they gonna do actual episodes or long runs? I miss those shorter episodes that were just simple.

You gotta respect South Park for just doing whatever the F they want without making a political "choice".
From what I heard they kind of did make a choice in 2016, so then they had to rewrite a bunch of material. I kind of wonder what it was actually

Looks hilarious.

Canada war.
Airplanes colliding.
City burning.
Ketamine.

They got all the current events down and that's what I love about this show.

I honestly think this episode was their finest work. The two men have aged like fine wine.

I really look forward to how they proceed. I can see them going even deeper, or doing a complete 180. Which again, is a testament to their great work.

I've been out of this show for quite a while now, sadly. Used to watch it all the time. Up until and including season 20'ish I've see nevery episode multiple times just by clicking random episode over and over and over again on their website.

I only learned yesterday that one my favourite episodes, Ginger Cow, is actually based on a Jewish belief...
Because the state of ritual purity obtained through the ashes of a red heifer is a necessary prerequisite for participating in Temple service, efforts have been made in modern times by Jews wishing for Jewish ritual purity (see tumah and taharah) and in anticipation of the building of the Third Temple to locate a red heifer and recreate the ritual sacrifice.

The potential fallout from this might be even funnier than the episode itself. Trump is going to lose his shit.
Yeah, there's billions at stake here. His ego could push on the FTC to stop the sale between CBS and Skydance. Which might have been the goal from the two geniuses.

I do not remember them making fun of Obama or Biden. Funny how Trump is always the exception. The last several "seasons" have not been funny. Sucks to see another show losing it's edge and yet they continue to milk it. Just cancel them already.

Lol that episode was great. I can't believe the aired that naked AI Trump video at the end.

Maybe. Seems more in line to me with them pushing as many buttons as possible, which fits their style. So I commend them for that. I thought the episode was pretty good and laid some groundwork for future episodes. There's been too much Trump jokes over the years though, that I didn't laugh as much I should have

-south park: hehehe we're gonna MAKE you cancel us

The newest episode was way too damn good. 🤣
i haven't watched SP in like 15 years, are there any particular great epsiodes to look up?
Honestly, anything but the seasons that feel like one giant episode. SP is one of the few shows that feels like it hasnt aged as badly as others like family guy or simpsons. Hell, I'd even check out the covid special because the future version of south park was actually pretty good

Called it.

Holy shit how the fuck did the channel sign off on this episode, lol.

Fantastic but I'm fully expecting threats of lawsuits etc against the show any hour now.

South Park's always been a mix of high-highs and low-lows for me, but I did laugh at the latest stuff so that's something.

Skip seasons 20-22. The rest is still pretty solid, even most of the specials.

As always, it's hit and miss, but it's probably the most consistently good adult cartoon.
