Game pass gets it first then after a few weeks it's free to everyone. It's one of the perks you get in gamepass, like Spotify premium for three months etc.

Considering this was supposedly a competition for gamers to help design the game it looks very unoriginal and bland and something I'd expect to be made by car sales exec working in games.

There are plenty examples of great 2D, 8/16-bit type games released all the time. This just isn't one of them

I agree with the first sentence. I respectfully disagree with the last two. I still enjoy 2D and pixelated games.
