Man, after finishing BM Wukong, Lords of the fallen, Lies of P and now going through Khazan, the samey-ness and formula has really started to get long in the tooth for me - and especially those that rely on perfect parrying like Lies of P and Khazan aka "perfect parry simulators"...
Now, those that rely more on the atmosphere and exploration (Wukong/Lords of the fallen) are OK with me but the ones that rely more on the combat and parry...I've found them to get really tiring (Nioh/Khazan) since the level design devolves into basically rooms with 0 atmosphere where they only serve as a means to reach the end level boss (where you're gonna spend half an afternoon in trying to beat it).
Khazan especially...I've never fallen so quickly outta love with a game, it's basically another perfect parry simulator with the most basic, arcade-y and super boring level design of the last few years (even worse than Nioh's I'd say) that serves - you guessed it - as "filler " just to reach the next boss, it's just feels like a slog at this point.
This summer is all about Death stranding 2 for me.
