All those clouds... very Supermanesque.
Yeah repair work at launch complex 40 needs to be finished then all should be good to go this fall. They have a contract already for an early spring launch. So things should hopefully stay on schedule
Haha true. But they have actually been testing the core and side boosters. Shotwell said in the Space Show the only thing they really need is the pad.
"Nobody knew building rockets was so complicated."Should happen this year. All three boosters have been test fired in the past few months. Musk said building the rocket was a lot more complicated than they thought it would be.
Imagine what you just saw, but with two first stages strapped either side of the main rocket.
Then imagine the three first stages (two side boosters, and core booster) all landing, two on land, and one in the ocean.
Watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ca6x4QbpoM (except that this shows three stages returning to launch site.)
Depending on Payload you could have 3 separate Boosters landing. Lots of fun then. The higher the payload the less reusability but consider SpaceX says for full reusability they can launch for 90 million dollars.
Delta IV which is similar but no reusability is projected at 375 million per launch. Can see why SpaceX and what they are accomplishing is such a huge deal. They are making Space much cheaper
Great launch. Also love those drone ship names.
All satellites deployed.
Total mission success.
Fuck,i was just skimming the thread and i read that as "All satellites Destroyed"
Nearly game me a fright there.
Oh, thanks! That was beautiful!New titanium grid fins worked even better than expected. Should be capable of an indefinite number of flights with no service.

Edit:
Are they still planning to send a cargo ship to Mars next July as mentioned in this page?
Don't think so. IIRC Elon will talk more in depth on this in a couple months.
