if psoe and podemos can't prevent a pp government...

Haha adiós ciudadanos!

There's a possibility U-Podemos and PSOE can get a majority right? Now it's all up to Sanchez and his prideful ass.

I don't think PSOE will ever pact with UP. They (PSOE) owe way too much money to the banks to make that pact.

Hope Podemos and PSOE can have enough seats and reach and agreement, but it'll be really difficult. I also hope Ciudadanos disappears, it brings nothing new to the table and is a pathetic attempt at indirectly getting young people to support PP's politics.

PP should be dismantled, I can't understand how people can still vote them, in any democracy where justice is truly independent all the heads of the party would be in jail and the party illegalized as the mob it truly is.

Yeah, nothing new to the table like proposals to erase the senate among many other proposals, but yeah, C's are the devil and UP are saints who will make money out of thin air to get everybody a check. Tell you what, here's two little friends I'd like to introduce to you, Spain's debt and Moody's.

Give me a fucking break.

Would be funny to watch if Unidos Podemos is asked to form goverment and PSOE blocks it. Like, Pedro Sánchez complaining level funny.

Nice OT, does Funky Papa come from Spain?

This will be a very interesting election process. I still am amazed that PP gets so many votes after hundreds of corruption cases and demostrated use of the law in its own advantage just few days ago. Crazy. I guess the expected result will be PSOE + Podemos, which basically is the whole left side of the parlament, but I'm afraid that the current PSOE leader is not going to accept that we got to second elections because of his stupid movement in December.

The first vote counts should come up in a few minutes.

At this point, PP could rape children at Plaza del Sol and people would still vote them. Unbelieveable. This past week we've had the Spanish equivalent of Watergate, there are audios of the minister happily stating that "we've fucked their healthcare system" and still they get most of the country to vote them.

But hey, we are not Venezuela!

It seems the decision lies in Sanchez's hands. He can choose to commit political-suicide either with his left or his right "hand".
Either way, he is fucked.

If Podemos can bring social democratic parties into a coalition, could they conceivably control Spain?

Relax man, no need to get all riled up. I don´t think UP are saints, but I do think they are much more cleaner than any other alternative and that they can shake things and provide a good situation for the justice to act freely and independently, so one day we may be able to truly trust our politics. Their proposal to make the electoral programs vinculative are what make me trust them above anyone else. C´s has a lot of shades, with many news of people leaving the party because of people from other parties barging in and taking control of local administrations.

So the big question now is if PSOE+Podemos together can get a majority.

Otherwise, nothing has really changed from the previous elections.

This country disgusts me, I'm ashamed to be part of this shit. I've never been a Catalunya's independence advocate, but now I'm rooting for it. I want out, there is no solution.

Yup, let's get the fuck outta here.

Edit: they are getting even better results? Oh. My. God.

At least you have the hope to leave, I'm stuck in PPland: Galicia.

Yeah PP is getting way better results. Basically a lot of C's voters moved to PP for the "useful" vote.

This is Brexit all over again. Old people fucking over younger generations.

I'm ashamed of my country too. It's clear that no matter what happens, PP will always have millions of people supporting them.

And thanks to our wonderful laws my vote, from a guy who lives in the city, counts as shit against a vote from people of the villages. Not want to come across as a bigot but we all know for whom these people usually vote. Add all the old people who vote in mass for the fear politics and you have shit, shit everywhere. The ignorant and the old decide for the rest and the future generations. That must mean most of the people are one or the other. Therefore I want out, at least in my region the majority voted for change and new blood

Yeah PP+C's are going to pact with this results. They would win PSOE+UP.

Meanwhile, this guy is laughing at how friggin idiots we are in Spain.

Yeah, I should have taken a chill pill, sorry for sounding like a dumbass, but there's people out there feeling glad that C's have taken a dive... which in turn has favoured PP.

I'm raging as fuck now, seeing as how the two most corrupt parties that have sunk Spain are still being the most voted ones.

I cannot comprehend this madness

I have to think some people voted for PP just to avoid the left fighting amongst itself. I mean the left is fundamentaly divided on major issues like Catalonia independence, how much to spend and other issues and the PP seems to pretty much be the status quo. A subtle role back of socialists policies from the 80s

I could be totally wrong

Neither can I :( I don't like C's, but they're nowhere near the shit level the PP is.

lmao even in Valencia PP is getting better results. WTF is going on.
How can this be possible?? Seriously, wtf is going on? This may sound paranoid, but with the latest news I can't help but think that the whole system is tricked. I refuse to accept that I live in a country of such stupid people who are still supporting PP.

Pollsters are shit. That is a certainty now. They have fucked up MASSIVELY twice in a row and their data should be basically disregarded. Tea leaves are more credible at this point.

Also, the fear campaign was a resounding success. The PP won back a large part of the votes initially lost to Ciudadanos with its Red Scare/Sanitary cordon and came out stronger at the expense of C's, that took a massive punishment. The PP surge in Valencia of all the places goes on to show that fear works and works well. It may have even helped to reduce the PSOE's bleeding, which is probably close to its electoral bottom just as Podemos has hit its roof.

At this point it's clear that Podemos won't grow any further without the PSOE fully collapsing and getting torn by internal strife.

It's kind of insane that despite all of that the situation remains largely the same.

I want the PSOE to abstain just for the sheer fuckery of a PP+Ciudadanos government that would probably crumble in a few months.

Ciudadanos wont make Rajoy president. Rajoy needs to go away now and take all his cabinet with him. Then PP needs to reach a deal with Cs, similar to the one Cs reached with PSOE 6 months ago.

Hopefully Cs will be able to impose measures to reduce corruption, guarantee the independence of the judicial system and improve the economy.

The PP also increased its results in Catalonia despite the colossal importance of the wiretaps revealed just a few days ago.

At this point its safe to say that the average PP voter doesn't give a single fuck.

Assuming the wiretap scandal offers a true look at Ciudadanos' inner workings, the party is already rotten to the core.
